The 2024 NASCAR Cup season will be the 76th campaign for the series, and Ryan Blaney enters the new year as the reigning champion.
Last year, the Team Penske standout became the 36th different driver to win the title, and he will be attempting to become the first driver since Jimmie Johnson in 2009/10 to earn consecutive championships.
Blaney’s quest for back-to-back crowns begins in the “Great American Race” on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. He is aiming to become the sixth defending champion to win the Daytona 500, and it would be the first time since 2000 that a driver has pulled off the feat.
