Best Michigan Player Props for CFP National Championship

Michigan will square off against Washington in a battle of the last two undefeated teams in FBS in the College Football Playoff National Championship at NRG Stadium in Houston on Jan. 8, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Wolverines are seeking their first national championship since 1997 and their first undisputed national title since 1948.

Since college football player props are available inside Michigan, here’s a look at some of the best to consider for the Wolverines.

Best Michigan CFP National Championship Player Props

Blake Corum

First Touchdown Scorer

Odds:

The Wolverines’ All-American running back has a rushing touchdown in every game this season and is likely a lock to cap his campaign with a score in the national-championship game.

With the potential for Michigan to win wire-to-wire, betting Corum to score the first TD is a great way to cash in on him scoring a TD, since his TD-scorer prop is an unplayable -450.

Betting the first-TD scorer is a dicey way to play, since Washington could get the ball and score on its opening drive. But if there’s a Michigan player that seems destined to score the game’s first TD, it’s Corum.

J.J. McCarthy

Over 22.5 Rushing Yards

Odds:

The Huskies have a good run defense and will likely be keying on All-American running back Blake Corum. The Wolverines love to run the ball, and McCarthy is a member of that rushing attack since he is third on the team in rushing yards.

The only adverse effect on this prop is sack yards will count against McCarthy’s rushing total, which is how he ended up with minus-35 yards against Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game. But as long as McCarthy’s line protects him, he should easily surpass his rushing prop.
