Not every top pick in the NFL Draft has a simple path to success.
Baker Mayfield and Jared Goff personify that sentiment as they lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions, respectively. Neither team drafted their signal caller, but are grateful to have them under center ahead of their Divisional Round matchup on Sunday.
Both offenses have been humming with the emergence of their running games, paired with elite receivers and strong supporting casts.
Talent leads to points, which is why this game has had an NFL betting Over/Under over 50 points since opening earlier this week. Implied points means touchdowns!
Below is a look at some of The Game Day’s favorite Anytime TD prop bets for Lions vs. Buccaneers.
NFL odds are current as of Friday, Jan. 19.
Best Anytime TD Prop Bets for Lions vs. Buccaneers
Mike Evans Anytime TD
bet365 Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
Some players are just gifted with the ability to get into the end zone. That list starts with Mike Evans, who averages 0.61 TDs per game for his career (154 regular season games).
The Lions defense has a lot of great names, but plays below the sum of its parts. Their pass defense has allowed 1.29 TDs to receivers per game, as well as 181 receiving yards. That’s enough for me to believe Evans will find paydirt.
The Bucs offensive line also deserves praise for aiding Evans’ end zone quests. They rank in the middle of the NFL in QB sacked percentage.
Trey Palmer Anytime TD (+475)
ESPN BET Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.5 Units
Speaking of deep threats, Palmer’s role in the Bucs passing game has grown as the season has gone on, which is not surprising since Palmer has had to grow into a new offense as a rookie.
Both of Palmer’s scores over the past three games have come on plays of 20-plus yards. Detroit allowed the fourth-most receptions of 20-plus yards entering the playoffs, trailing only Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Tampa Bay.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime TD (+115)
ESPN Bet Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
The Tampa pass defense allows four fewer yards per game to wideouts than Detroit, but is better at limiting TDs.
That didn’t stop ARSB from posting a 12/124/1 line against them Week 6 while scoring one of two TDs by Lions WRs. The Bucs allowed DeVonta Smith to to put up 8/148/0 without A.J. Brown. There is little to believe St. Brown won’t be a terror at home after having his four-game scoring streak ended by the Rams.

Sam LaPorta Anytime TD
Caesars Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit
The Bucs’ defense was the worst against opposing tight ends in 2023 and have to go up against LaPorta for a second time. The rookie shattered expectations, finishing the season with 86 (!) catches and 10 scores. His 16 red-zone targets were second only to Mike Evans among Buccaneers.
