Bengals-Football Team Players to Watch

CIN QB Joe Burrow continues his candidacy for NFL Rookie of the Year, having tallied 2,485 passing yards, 12 TDs, and 5 interceptions. Burrow has now gone back-to-back games without throwing a pick, but he also only has three TDs in those contests. He faces a Washington D that has allowed 2-plus TD passes five times this season and just 215.9 passing yards per game, so it could be an up-hill battle for the QB.

With CIN RB Joe Mixon already ruled out, we should see a running-back-by-committee approach again for the Bengals. Giovani Bernard led the backfield in touches (12) while Samaje Perine had the most rush yards (48), but the carries were split almost exactly down the middle with Bernard tallying 8 and Perine getting 7.

This will be WFT QB Alex Smith‘s record straight start. In his first since the devastating leg injury, the QB went 38-for-55 for 390 yards, but no touchdowns. Terry McLaurin remained the top receiving threat for Washington with Smith under center, grabbing 7 balls for 95 yards last week.

Antonio Gibson could be the difference maker in this one, coming off his first 2-touchdown game of the season, to put his season TD total at 7. The Bengals D is giving up an average of 133.1 rush yards per game and has also allowed 5 rushing TDs. Gibson could go for his second 100-yard game if the Football Team feeds him the rock.

Bengals-Football Team Weather Report

The weather report for FedEx Field calls for mostly cloudy skies and a high of 56 degrees Fahrenheit with a 10% chance of precipitation.

Bengals-Football Teams Betting Tips

BEST BET: Bengals (+105)

I’m taking the Bengals moneyline here based on the division they play in and their schedule. Cincinnati hung tight with the Colts, Browns (twice) and Eagles (tie) and beat the Jaguars and Titans for their only two wins.

The Football Team also has two wins, over the Cowboys and Eagles at home. Washington has lost to the Giants twice and Lions.

This leans me to the Bengals here with the plus money, but I’m not betting this game this week.

CONSIDER: Over 47 (-110)

This is a very strange matchup as we have one team that seemingly is an “under" team in Washington and one team that is seemingly an “over" team in the Bengals. In reality, Washington has hit the over 4 times in 9 games and the Bengals have hit it in 5 of 9 games. It’s literally a coin flip. If you think Washington wins, take the under. If you think Cinci does, then take the over.

PASS: Football Team -1.5 (-115)

If you’re going to bet a side in this game, take it moneyline — one way or another. It’s not worth this extra juice when you can take Washington straight up (-125).
