Bears-Vikings Key Injuries
Bears
The Bears’ injury report is mostly clean. However, three of the team’s CBs are listed as questionable — something that could affect the Vikings’ receiving corps.
Vikings
Vikings’ TE Kyle Rudolph is listed as questionable after missing last week’s game with a foot injury. Irv Smith Jr. had his best game of the season in Rudolph’s absence, going for four catches, 63 yards and TD. If Rudolph is forced to misshis second straight contest, Smith could have another big game.
Bears Vikings Players to Watch
CHI QB Mitchell Trubisky has shown flashes since being thrust back into the starting role with the Bears. He has seven passing TDs and is averaging just under 260 passing yards per game in those three contests. He didn’t play when these two teams faced off in Week 10, a game the Vikings won, 19-13.
But that was with Nick Foles under center for the Bears. With Trubisky running the offense since the team’s bye, Allen Robinson II has three touchdown receptions and an average of more than seven catches and 90 yards per game.
MIN RB Dalvin Cook continues to do what he seemingly does every December. The back has put up back-to-back 100-yard games and gets a Chicago D that he had 96 rush yards against in Week 10. The Bears have allowed three rushing TDs and an average of close to 100 rushing yards per game in their last three contests. How Cook fares could swing the outcome of this one.
Bears Vikings Weather Report
The weather report at U.S Bank Stadium calls for partly sunny skies with a high of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a 2% chance of precipitation and 14 mph wind gusts in the forecast.
Bears-Vikings Picks & Best Bet
BEST BET: Over 47 (-115)
The Bears’ offense has scored at least 25 points in each of Trubisky’s last three starts. The Vikings have been similarly consistent, scoring at least 27 points in three of their last four. Putting these numbers together is enough to make this my best bet in this game.
CONSIDER: Vikings -3 (-125)
The juice on this line (-125 vs. -110) says a lot to me. It means the sportsbook doesn’t want to get halved, meaning they’re getting bets on the key number of 3 on the Vikings and they don’t want to put it at 3.5 as bets would then likely pour in on the Bears +3.5. Whenever this happens, I’m typically on the home favorite. Give me the Vikings -3.
PASS: Vikings (-180)
If you like the Vikings to win this game, take them minus the points, or buy half a point to get them at less than a field goal.
