Here’s our preview of the best Bears-Saints DraftKings DFS Showdown Picks for NFL Wild-Card Playoffs and our best choice for Bears-Saints Showdown Captain.

This article will provide you some of the best daily fantasy takes for DraftKings showdown contest between the Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints. In DraftKings formats, the showdown captain mode is unique from the traditional daily fantasy lineups.

These contests are based on one game and when constructing your lineup, there is a crown icon that represents your team captain. The player you choose for the captain spot will have their fantasy points multiplied by 1.5 points.

Bears-Saints Showdown Captain

On top of the captain’s points being multiplied by 1.5 points, a player selected for the captain position will cost more than if they had been selected as a utility player. The player I would look to utilize in my captain position would be Jared Cook ($6,800).

In their six games since their Week 11 bye, the Bears had finished in the top-10 in most points allowed to tight ends four times. The Bears recent trend coincides with strong play from Cook. In his last five games, Cook has four or more targets and has scored three touchdowns in the process.

Bears-Saints Showdown Stack

If you are new to daily fantasy, the term stacking means player two players from the same team, in an effort to double your points. If there is a stack that I have my eyes on in this matchup it is Mitchell Trubisky ($13,800) and Allen Robinson ($14,400).

Since taking over as quarterback in Week 12, Trubisky has had three games in which he finished in the top-10 in points scored. Those numbers would include two games with three touchdown passes. With the Saints allowing the fewest points to running backs this season, the Bears’ key to success could be with Trubisky and his arm.

As far as Robinson, the Bears star receiver has once again delivered a top tier season as he ranked third in targets and eighth in points scored. This season, the Saints have had seven weeks in which they allowed more than 40 points to wide receivers. Three of the games were from Week 15 to 17.

Bears-Saints Showdown Value Plays

I will preface this by saying that in this particular game, I’m not opposed to making one of these two value picks your captain. That should be determined on putting forth the best lineup possible.

That being said, Cairo Santos ($3,200) and Wil Lutz ($3,600) can serve as solid value plays. Both Santos and Lutz sit in the top 12 in scoring at their position. Lutz has scored double-digit points in each of his last two games. For Santos, he has scored double-digit points in his last four games, including Week 15 where he scored 18 points.
