Last Updated: Apr 5, 2021

April 5 NBA DFS Picks on Monkey Knife Fight: Monkey Knife Fight (MKF) combines elements of daily fantasy sports and traditional prop betting to offer a unique array of contests daily for a multitude of sports, including 4/5/21 NBA DFS Plays.

With NBA season in full swing, MKF enhances the enjoyment of the hardwood with exciting opportunities each night to win cash based on your knowledge of some of the league’s top players.

The Game Day breaks down two MKF contests daily that we feel have profit potential. With Friday’s slate featuring plenty of big names, here’s a closer look at some opportunities involving some of the most offensively explosive players in action:

April 5 NBA DFS Picks

Star Shootout, Early Games

MKF Contest: More Or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-In)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves (vs. Sacramento Kings): More Than 55.5 Fantasy Points

Towns could hardly ask for a better positional matchup Monday, as the Kings check in allowing the highest offensive efficiency (34.9 percent) to centers, along with the sixth-most MKF points per game (55.6) to fives on the season. Towns has been tearing through any opponent put in front of him lately as well, scoring 58.2 to 67.3 MKF points in four of his last six games alone. He’s also exceeded this lofty benchmark on seven occasions already, and with this game sporting a narrow spread and a total in the mid-230s, I like Towns’ chances of logging heavy minutes.

Luka Doncic, PG, Dallas Mavericks (vs. Utah Jazz): Less Than 50.5 Fantasy Points

Doncic has fallen short of this benchmark in two previous meeting against the defensively savvy Jazz, posting 43.7 and 42.8 MKF points in those contests. The star point guard has shot well in those games, but Utah does a very good job of limiting the peripheral numbers that can help Doncic get into the 50s in terms of fantasy points – the Jazz has allowed him just 6.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds per contest in those meetings, well below his season numbers. Those figures aren’t surprising when considering Utah is giving up Western Conference-low 23.4 percent offensive efficiency to point guards.

Phoenix Suns at Houston Rockets

MKF Contest: More Or Less, Fantasy Points (Pick 2/2 correctly to win 2.5x your Buy-In)

MKF NBA Fantasy Points Scoring System:

  • Point= +1 point
  • Assist= +1.5 points
  • Rebound= +1.2 points
  • Steal= +3 points
  • Block= +3 points
  • Turnover= -1 point

Christian Wood, PF, Houston Rockets: More Than 41.5 Fantasy Points

Wood posted 46.2 MKF points in his one previous meeting versus the Suns this season, and Phoenix checks in ranked just outside the bottom 10 in offensive efficiency allowed to centers (32.3 percent). John Wall is also likely to miss another game Monday with his knee injury, and Wood is averaging 45.1 MKF points per 36 minutes without his teammate on the floor this season. Finally, consider Wood has been logging a heavy workload of late (32 or more minutes in four straight) and the Suns are giving up a robust 54.3 MKF points per game to fives over the last 15 games.

Devin Booker, SG, Phoenix Suns: More Than 39.5 Fantasy Points

Booker posted just 30 MKF points against the Rockets the one prior time he faced them this season, but that was a game where he frequently had to deal with the departed Victor Oladipo’s defense. That obviously won’t be the case Monday, and Houston is notably allowing the most MKF points per game (47.0) to shooting guards over the last seven contests, all since Oladipo’s trade to the Heat. Booker has also scored 41.9 to 56.8 MKF points in three of his last four, and he’s exceeded this benchmark in 17 games already this season. The blowout risk does scare me just a bit here, but the 39.5 isn’t an overly difficult number to hit if Booker is as sharp shooting-wise as he’s been recently.
