For Friday, Mike Barner has your April 2 NBA Prop Bet Tips and 4/2/21 NBA Player Prop Bets. All odds were obtained from PointsBet.
An injury to James Harden contributed to a 1-2 night with my player prop picks Wednesday. For the season, my record is now 51-59 (-17.46 units). I’ll try to bounce back Friday with the following three props to consider.

April 2 NBA Prop Bet Tips
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks at Portland Trail Blazers
Over 27.5 Points (-115)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.87 units)
Taking the over here might not seem like a wise move given Giannis’ recent production. He’s scored 26 points or fewer in four of his last five games, including two games in which he didn’t even top 16 points. However, his five opponents during that stretch were the Spurs, Celtics (twice), Clippers and Lakers. Those all have the ability to be tough defensive teams. Like for him to break out his scoring slumber against a Blazers team that has the second-worst defensive rating in the league.
Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors vs. Golden State Warriors
Over 6.5 Assists (-150)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.67 units)
The Raptors will be without their starting point guard in Kyle Lowry (foot) for this game, which will force VanVleet to help facilitate their offense more. Lowry has missed nine games this season and VanVleet ended up posting at least seven assists in seven of those contests. The odds here aren’t great, but taking the over could still lead to a profitable wager.
Terry Rozier, Charlotte Hornets at Indiana Pacers
Over 21.5 Points (-112)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.89 units)
The bad news is that the Hornets were steamrolled by the Nets on Thursday, losing by 22 points in a game that was a blowout right from the onset. Rozier only scored 12 points, breaking his streak of five straight games with at least 22 points. The good news is that he only played 26 minutes, so playing on consecutive nights might not be as bad as it could have been. He’s going to need to shoot in bunches with LaMelo Ball (wrist) out and Malik Monk leaving early Thursday with an injury of his own, so I like his chances of hitting the over.
