Charlie Blackmon (+2200) (Unibet)
Blackmon has been one of the better contact hitters in baseball for the last five seasons, totaling 180+ hits in four of five years (the other being last year’s shortened season). His power showed signs of decline last season with his ISO decreasing from .262 to .145 and his Barrel% falling from 8.3% to 4.9%. This means that he’ll likely have to focus on generating contact rather than power as he enters his age-35 season, which is good news for his hit total.
Blackmon is on the decline in a weaker Rockies’ lineup, but it’s worth taking a shot on this prop because of his diminishing power and ballpark context. Coors Field really helps hitters boost their average, so Blackmon will continue to have opportunities to rack up hits even as he declines in skill. We would need him to play 150+ games for this to hit, but it’s certainly possible; Blackmon eclipsed this total in 2017 and 2018.
