NHL Bets of the Day 11/12/21
Arizona Coyotes at Chicago Blackhawks, 8:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Blackhawks Puckline (+115) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The Chicago Blackhawks (1-8-2) have to start winning a bit more consistently, right? They just aren’t as bad as their record would indicate. The Blackhawks are a favorite on Friday night at home versus the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes have the worst goal differential in the NHL (-33).
Arizona has allowed 54 goals on the season. Chicago can create scoring chances with their top six at the very minimum. That should be enough to score a few goals in and of itself.
One problem is that the Blackhawks still have the second-worst goal differential in the league at -19. However, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has started to adapt to the defense in front of him. Fleury allowed just two goals on 44 shots in a recent win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Back the Blackhawks to pick up a home win by two or more goals on Friday.

Washington Capitals at Columbus Blue Jackets, 7:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Blue Jackets Moneyline (+115) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The Columbus Blue Jackets (7-3-0) entertain the Washington Capitals (7-2-4) in this Eastern Conference matchup. The Blue Jackets have been frustrating to bet on at times, but I wholeheartedly feel that Columbus has the goaltending and team defense to make this a solid pick.
Columbus has been good at home so far this season, winning five of its six contests, and most of that is due to the goaltending of Elvis Merzlikins. The Blue Jackets’ goalie most recently stopped 34 of the 36 shots he faced against the Colorado Avalanche to extend the Columbus winning streak to three games.
For this game, I believe there is value on the home team. Take the Blue Jackets to win outright on Friday night.
Philadelphia Flyers at Carolina Hurricanes, 7:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Hurricanes Puckline (+130) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The Carolina Hurricanes (10-1-0) are at home against the Philadelphia Flyers (6-3-2) on Friday night.
The Flyers give up a bevy of high-quality scoring chances from too many angles, and are going up against a team with a top nine that exploits the middle of the ice while attacking.
Carolina has some excellent metrics going into this contest. Their defense ranks the top in the NHL with just 21 goals allowed. Even then, they rank 10th in goals for with 41. That is a margin of +1.67 goals per game.
The Flyers still will not have Kevin Hayes in the lineup. He is a stabilizing force as far as a second-line center and can provide some scoring pop. Without that, and an inconsistent offense (ranked 24th with 32 goals), this game has the look of one that could go south fast with a few quick Carolina goals.
Simply put, take the home team that’s in better shape and better form, entering the night against a team that looked lost on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Our pick is the Carolina puckline behind the goaltending of Frederik Andersen and an expected home bounce back for players like Sebastian Aho and Vincent Trocheck.
