NHL Bets of the Day 11/08/21
Florida Panthers at New York Rangers, 7:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Panthers Moneyline (-110) at BetMGM
The Florida Panthers have been the best team in the NHL so far, getting off to an impressive 10-0-1 start. They’ve scored 46 goals (4.18 per game) while allowing 24 (2.18 per game). Their +22 goal differential is also the best in hockey right now.
Florida has also been terrific on special teams, posting a 26.3 percent Power Play rate (T-8th) and 86.0 percent on the Penalty Kill (7th). While star goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky might be out for this game due to an upper-body injury, Spencer Knight is a capable backup.
This team is good in every facet of the game. We’re getting them as low road favorites against the New York Rangers.
The Rangers are coming off a 6-0 road loss to the Calgary Flames. While they’re a respectable 6-3-3, they’ve lost three in a row, allowing 15 goals during that span. That’s bad news against the best team in hockey.
Look for the Panthers to keep it rolling here.

Los Angeles Kings at Toronto Maple Leafs, 7:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Over 5.5 Goals (-120)
The Maple Leafs have hit their stride lately, scoring 16 goals in their last four games. This is because their core four of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, John Tavares, and William Nylander have been absolutely on fire, combining for 13 goals and 15 assists during this stretch.
The Leafs have scored at least four goals in three of their last four games. It’s going to be tough for the Kings to contain this high-flying offense.
However, Los Angeles has been able to pot in their fair share of goals as well. In their last four games, they have scored 14 goals.
They’ve won each of their four games during this stretch, so there’s a chance that we see a close game in this one. This is good news for the Over because we could get an opportunity for one or more empty net goals.
Ride with two hot offenses to get it done in this potential high-scoring affair.
