Thursday night’s slate of NHL action is massive and we have you covered.
There is a lot of value on the board, which makes sense considering we’ve got 10 games to choose from. After a rocky day Wednesday on a short slate, we will look to bounce back in a big way on Thursday. Let’s take a look at three of my favorite NHL parlay pieces that you should be adding to your betting cards.
All odds and lines are courtesy of DraftKings and are current as of 9 AM ET on Thursday, October 21.

- Flames Moneyline (-140)
- Hurricanes Moneyline (-120)
- Panthers Moneyline (-115)
Flames Moneyline (-140) at DraftKings
The Calgary Flames will visit the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night and I’m backing the road team in this one. The Red Wings are not nearly as atrocious as they have been the past few seasons, but they are still expected to be amongst the bottom teams in the league.
Calgary opened with losses to the Oilers and Ducks, but I like the Flames to bounce back and pick up their first victory of the season.
Detroit’s strong start to the season has come as a surprise to many as the Red Wings took care of business against the Canucks and Blue Jackets after losing their season opener 7-6 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. I expect this uncharacteristic stretch of impressive results to come to an end against the Flames.
Hurricanes Moneyline (-120) at DraftKings
The Hurricanes will visit the Canadiens on Thursday night, and honestly, these odds make little to no sense to me. The Canadiens are one of the consensus worst teams in the league right now and the Hurricanes are a solid team all things considered.
Montreal has surrendered a ridiculous 15 goals across its first four games while only scoring three goals of its own. This is even worse when taking into account that the Canadiens have faced a relatively easy schedule to this point, with just one of their first four opponents having made the playoffs last season.
The Canadiens will also still be without starting goaltender Carey Price, which means Montreal’s defensive woes could continue in this one. Back the better team in the Hurricanes, regardless of them being on the road.
Panthers Moneyline (-115) at DraftKings
I’m a huge believer in the Florida Panthers this season. They showed flashes of brilliance last year, but they are an even better team this season holistically. The Avalanche are a very tough team, but they have gotten off to an awful start to the season and I’m not expecting them to find their way just yet against a talented Florida team.
Back the Panthers, who many are considering to be a top-three team in the NHL.
