After squaring off against one of the AFC’s best teams in the Los Angeles Chargers last week, the Cleveland Browns will face another formidable challenge when they meet up with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.

The Cardinals come in as the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL at 5-0, while the Browns are off to a solid 3-2 start. Cleveland lost a wild shootout against Los Angeles in Week 5, 47-42, while Arizona ground out a 17-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers at home.

This is a huge matchup between two of the best teams in the NFL, so let’s dive in with our Cardinals vs Browns predictions and best bets. Please note that all odds are current as of 4 PM EST on Friday, October 15.

Cardinals vs Browns Prediction

Arizona’s offense has been elite this season, scoring 30+ points in four of their five games and ranking fourth in the NFL at 31.4 points per game. Their defense has also been surprisingly strong, ranking third in pass DVOA and 13th in rush DVOA while allowing the NFL’s sixth-fewest points per game (19.0).

Cleveland’s offense has also excelled behind its stellar running game, as Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are both averaging over 5.0 yards per carry. The Browns rank sixth in points per game this year (28.4), while their defense ranks 14th in pass DVOA and first in rush DVOA.

Cleveland will need to rely on their running game to keep Kyler Murray and his high-flying offense off the field. While Arizona has been solid against the run, they are still allowing 5.14 yards per carry, so this is an exploitable matchup for the Browns and their elite offensive line.

Coming off a season-low 17 points against the 49ers in Week 5, the Cardinals proved that they can be held in check by strong defensive units. Look for Cleveland’s defense and ground game to keep the ball out of Murray’s hands, resulting in a third straight home win for the Browns.

Prediction: Browns 31, Cardinals 24

Cardinals vs Browns Best Bets

Best Bet: Browns -3.5 (-105) at BetMGM

Wager: 2 Units

I like that we’re getting this spread at less than four points with our NFL gameday odds because Cleveland only needs to win by four for this bet to cash.

Arizona is a great team, but not good enough to go undefeated this year. They’re going to lose eventually, and I think it happens in Cleveland this week.

The Browns just showed that they can match points with one of the best offenses in the NFL, so their offense should be able to keep pace with the Cardinals this week. As long as their defense doesn’t surrender over 40 points again, Cleveland should win.

Best Bet: Over 49 Total Points (-110) at BetMGM

Wager: 2 Units

Starting with Week 1, Browns games have combined for 62, 52, 32, 21, and 89 points this season, while Cardinals games have gone for 51, 67, 50, 57, and 27 points. As we can see, both teams are fully capable of getting into a shootout.

The total of 49 points seems reasonable, so we’re going to bet the Over for our NFL bet of the day. Given how explosive both offenses are, there’s likely going to be a lot of points in this one.
