After looking over the Week 3 NFL slate, I found three games to target where I feel offensive scoring will be in high gear. It is a lot easier to go with overs in player props, especially early in the season, when most teams are still relatively healthy and the weather is not a factor.

Best NFL Player Props Week 3
Baltimore Ravens vs Detroit Lions
Ty’son Williams Over 55.5 Rushing Yards (-115) at BetMGM
The Ravens have been involved in two shootouts so far this season for a combined 60 and 71 points. In those two games, Williams has rushed for 65 and 77 yards on a total of just 22 carries for an average of 6.5 yards per carry. The Ravens should be working with a lead in the 2nd half against the Lions and especially since this is a non-conference road game, I would see them leaning more on Williams than a banged up Lamar Jackson. The Lions have allowed over 100 yards rushing in their first two games against the 49ers and Packers.
Marquise Brown Over 58.5 Receiving Yards (-110) at BetMGM
Brown has been a limited participant in practice this week due to an ankle injury, but it looks like he should be fine come Sunday. He has seen 16 targets through two games and compiled 69 receiving yards in Week 1 followed by a 113-yard outburst in Week 2. He has eclipsed 58.5 receiving yards in his last four games going back to last year.
The Lions have allowed Deebo Samuel (189) and Davante Adams (121) to light them up so far this season. The Lions are starting Amani Oruwariye (2019, 5th-round pick) and Jerry Jacobs (undrafted free agent) in the secondary as former first-rounder Jeff Okudah is out with an Achilles injury. Brown could bust one open deep early in the game and go over this prop in one shot.
Los Angeles Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes Over 304.5 Passing Yards (-115) at BetMGM
The Chiefs have played two of the most exciting games so far this season, beating the Browns in Week 1 (33-29) and losing a thriller to the Ravens (36-35) in Week 2. Another explosive matchup on paper against the Chargers looms this week, and I like both quarterbacks to be slinging it all over the field. Mahomes has thrown for 337 and 343 yards in the first two games to go along with three touchdown tosses in each. With the KC defense so porous right now, Mahomes will have to keep throwing for the Chiefs to win.
Justin Herbert Over 301.5 Passing Yards (-115) at BetMGM
Herbert has thrown for 337 and 338 yards in the first two games and hit the Chiefs last year for 311 and 302 as a rookie. With the Chargers’ upgraded offensive line and the Chiefs’ terrible pass defense, Herbert should threaten 400 passing yards this week. Did I mention Herbert had 83 passing yards called back due to penalties last week?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Los Angeles Rams
Tom Brady Over 2.5 Passing Touchdowns (+130) at BetMGM
Brady has thrown for nine touchdowns through the first two games this season and thrown at least three touchdowns in four straight games. The Rams are one of the toughest defenses in the league and they certainly present a challenge, but with the lack of a running game Brady should continue to throw at a high rate and be able to continue his streak of three or more passing touchdowns.
Much like the Chiefs, the Bucs defense also lends itself to keep teams in the game. Brady will be targeting whoever Jalen Ramsey is not covering. And with Antonio Brown out, look for him to continue to hit Rob Gronkowski.
Cooper Kupp Over 85.5 Receiving Yards (-115) at BetMGM
The Bucs have surrendered the second-most fantasy points to wide receivers and Kupp has 16 receptions for 271 yards and three touchdowns in just the first two games. This game see each team reach 30 points in what will be another shootout for the Bucs. The upgrade from Jared Goff to Matthew Stafford at QB has pushed Kupp into the WR1 category.

5 Player Parlay - Over Interceptions Thrown (+1310) at BetMGM
- Zach Wilson Over 1.5 Interceptions (+155) at BetMGM
- Trevor Lawrence Over 0.5 Interceptions (-225) at BetMGM
- Justin Fields Over 0.5 Interceptions (-160) at BetMGM
- Jameis Winston Over 0.5 Interceptions (-200) at BetMGM
- Jared Goff Over 0.5 Interceptions (-175) at BetMGM
Wilson has to play at Denver and has already thrown five interceptions so far. Lawrence has also thrown five interceptions so far in his rookie season. Fields is making his first NFL start against the Browns, Winston faces the vaunted New England defense and Goff is turnover-prone and faces the Ravens.
Best Bet: Kyler Murray Over 324.5 Passing + Rushing Yards (-115) at DraftKings
Best Bet: Kyler Murray Over 38.5 Yard Longest Pass Completion (-115) at DraftKings
While this could be a little bit of a letdown spot for the Cardinals coming off an emotional win against the Vikings and then traveling East to face the Jaguars, I will still look to bet on Kyler Murray, who is making a case for MVP early on. This is a must win game for the Cardinals as they are in the toughest division in football. The Jags defense is a bottom-five unit, but I am hoping that this game doesn’t turn into a blowout. That will mean Murray will have to keep running and passing to get over his props. I love the Over 38.5 Longest Completion after seeing Rondale Moore hit a 77-yard touchdown last week.
