The non-divisional schedule does not do any favors for the Packers this season, especially away from Lambeau Field. All but one of the non-divisional away games take place before their bye week, and they have four road games in five weeks. However, the late bye week and having four of their last six games being at home will be a nice way to end the season.
As for offseason changes, there weren’t many for the Packers. They made the switch to Joe Barry at defensive coordinator. The Packers let two of their starting offensive linemen go, but they drafted their replacements. Defensively, Green Bay used a first-round pick on Eric Stokes, who will hopefully take over the CB2 spot from Kevin King at some point, as that was the biggest weakness on that unit. Promoting Maurice Drayton to special teams coordinator should also be an improvement, as that was the weakest unit on the Packers in 2020.
Heading into 2021, MVP Aaron Rodgers is back and as motivated as ever. This should lead to the offense continuing to play like one of the best in the NFL. Defensively, it’s a talented bunch. As long as they don’t beat themselves and they force a few more turnovers, that’s all that will truly be asked of them. However, that has been a big ask throughout the entire Rodgers era in Green Bay. Still, the NFC North looks like theirs to lose, with the rest of the division having blatant weaknesses.
Packers 2021 Make Playoffs Bet: Yes Or No For Green Bay?
Packers Make 2021 NFL Playoffs? YES (-280)
The NFC North is the Packers’ to lose. Obviously, winning the division means they’re in the playoffs. If another team goes on a run to take the division, it would still be surprising to see the Packers miss the postseason since they should win a minimum of 11, with more wins likely.
