The Game Day has compiled the 2021 NBA Three-Point Contest Preview & Picks. This year’s three-point contest will be taking place during the 2021 All-Star pregame of the actual NBA All-Star Game.
This should make for an exciting NBA All-Star Sunday since the Slam Dunk contest is taking place at halftime.

2021 NBA Three-Point Contest: When You Can Watch
The NBA Three-Point Contest is taking place at the 2021 All-Star Game pregame on Sunday, March 7. The game tips off at 7:00 p.m. ET from State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The three-point contest is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Devin Booker was the runner-up of last year’s contest, defeated by Sacramento’s Buddy Hield despite making 26 in his final round. Booker, who is replacing the injured Anthony Davis in the All-Star game, has a lot to shoot for. Not only did he lose last year, but he was initially snubbed from the All-Star Game altogether. Booker holds the all-time record with 28 points. He is averaging 36.7 percent from deep this season.
Jaylen Brown also has a chip on his shoulder for this three-point contest, as he believes the NBA should have invited him to participate “a long time ago." Brown is averaging 38.9 percent from behind the arc this season, making him a worthy candidate of his first invite.
After an underwhelming start to his 2021 season, Stephen Curry looks like his old self. The former NBA three-point champion needs no introduction, as everyone will be watching the greatest shooter of all-time take part in this contest again. Curry is shooting 41.1 percent from three this season.
Zach LaVine is giving the three-point contest another try, this year as a first-time NBA All-Star. This is the second consecutive year LaVine is participating, after being eliminated early last year. He is shooting a career-best 43.5 percent from deep this season.
Like LaVine, another former NBA Dunk Contest participant, Donovan Mitchell, is giving the three-point contest a try. More known for his dunks, Mitchell is shooting an impressive 38.2 percent from deep in Dan Quinn‘s three-point-happy offense.
Jayson Tatum will battle his Celtics teammate, Brown, in this year’s three-point contest. In recent memory, Curry faced off with teammate Klay Thompson in a memorable shootout. Tatum’s 36.4 percent from behind the arc is a little behind Brown’s average, but the talent is clearly there for Tatum to walk away victorious.

While the lights will be brightest on Curry, who will undoubtedly make a lot of threes, the stars are aligned for Booker to win his 2018 title back. The Suns are quietly the second-seed in the Western Conference.
Nobody around the league is giving Booker the respect he deserves so another three-point crown could help put him back in the front of everyone’s mind.

There’s no denying that LaVine is on fire right now. It’s not his fault that the Chicago Bulls are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference. His 43.5 percent average from behind the arc is slept on. Adding a three-point title to his NBA Slam Dunk Contest trophy room is something that LaVine has talked about for a few years now.
