Last Updated: Apr 15, 2021

This is The Game Day’s 2021 NBA Sixth Man Winner: Futures Bet Check-In. With the regular season winding to a close, let’s look at some betting odds for players to win Sixth Man of the Year. Betting info provided by BetMGM.

The Sixth Man of the Year Award is a prestigious award given to a person who would probably start elsewhere but chooses to come off the bench and help provide a needed spark in the second unit. A great sixth man is incredibly valuable in the league and can be valuable in your wallet if you know who to be on.

2021 NBA Sixth Man Winner

  • Jordan Clarkson (-1100)
  • Jalen Brunson (+900)
  • Joe Ingles (+1000)
  • Montrezl Harrell (+1800)
  • Chris Boucher (+4000)
  • Terrence Ross (+4000)
  • Shake Milton (+4000)
  • Danilo Gallinari (+10000)
  • Goran Dragic (+10000)
  • Lou Williams (+10000)

Jordan Clarkson (-1100)

The award is basically Clarkson’s to lose. Coming off at -1100 is a pretty confident line, and let’s be honest he deserves the award. Averaging 17 ppg in only 25 minutes off the bench and a +4.9 in the +/-, Clarkson looks like the safest bet to take the award.

Jalen Brunson (+900)

Brunson has seen his minutes skyrocket since last year and has made the most of it. The third-year man out of Villanova has really found his stroke off the bench averaging nearly 13ppg while shooting 52 percent from the floor and nearly 40 percent from distance. Brunson has found his niche with the Mavericks.

Joe Ingles (+1000)

The Utah Jazz have been nothing short of spectacular this season. This is a team that is built to make a huge run in the postseason and Ingles coming off the bench is a huge part of that. He’s averaging career highs in field goal percentage, free throw percentage and three-point shooting percentage. If not for the amazing play of Jordan Clarkson, Ingles may be the guy we’d be talking about leading the charge for sixth man of the year.

Sleeper Pick

Serge Ibaka (+15000)

Everyone loves a good long shot, right? Ibaka has a new home in Los Angeles with the Clippers and he’a making the best out of it. While his rebound and point totals aren’t as high as years past, his +\- is the highest it’s been since the 2015-2016 season. It’s a high-risk bet, but if the Clippers make a huge run at the end of the season, there’s a possibility that Ibaka could sneak in and take this award.

While there are many candidates, the only bet I can really feel safe on is Jordan Clarkson. It’s a lot of money to pay for a small payout, but it’s about as close to a sure thing as one can get in the world of sports betting. There are a few reaches worth trying, but for me, it’s Clarkson’s award and we are just waiting for them to give it to him.
