The NBA tips off the week with eight games on Monday’s slate, which is loaded with exciting matchups such as the Miami Heat versus the Denver Nuggets. Let’s try to make the night even more fun with the three best NBA player props today that could prove to be profitable.
Mike Barner’s season record: 12-12 (-2.56 units)
NBA Prop Bets of the Day: Best Basketball Props Today 11/8/21
Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls (8:00 pm ET)
Kevin Durant: Over 28.5 Points (-120) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
Durant presents problems for most teams in the league and the Bulls will be no different. They’ve been forced to play small with Patrick Williams (wrist) out for the season and have a poor defensive center in Nikola Vucevic.
Durant has seen his usage rate spike to 32.5% with Kyrie Irving out, which is the second-highest of his career. That’s helped him average an NBA-high 28.6 points per game and score at least 29 points in three straight contests.
This should be a close game against an improved Chicago squad, which should leave Durant with plenty of minutes and shot attempts.

Dallas Mavericks vs New Orleans Pelicans (8:30 pm ET)
Kristaps Porzingis: Over 16.5 Points (-105) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
Porzingis didn’t look rusty in his return from a back injury on Saturday, scoring 21 points across 28 minutes against the Boston Celtics. He also enjoyed his most efficient shooting night of the season, going 7-for-13 from the field and 7-for-8 from the free-throw line against a Celtics team that has played improved defense of late.
The Pelicans have been struggling out of the gate, especially on the defensive end where they’re allowing the third-most points per game in the NBA. There is some blowout concern here, but Porzingis could play a big role in that happening (if it does), so I’ll roll with the Over at these favorable NBA gameday odds.
Denver Nuggets vs Miami Heat (9:00 pm ET)
Will Barton: Over 15.5 Points (-120) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The Nuggets are in a tough spot here with Michael Porter Jr. (back) out. Expect them to turn to Barton to provide added support for Nikola Jokic, especially with the former already averaging 15.2 points per game.
It also helps that he’s seeing 33 minutes per game, which is tied for the second-highest of his career. He’s been more aggressive with his shot as well, averaging a personal-best 13.6 field-goal attempts per game, including 5.4 from beyond the arc.
Back Barton to deliver in his expanded role for our NBA bet of the day.
