Daniel Preciado is here with your NBA Best Bets for October 26, 2021 action. See our best NBA bet picks today.
We have five very solid matchups on tonight’s NBA slate, but it’s a bit hard to gauge some of these contenders right now due to some of them making slow starts to the season.
For example, the Los Angeles Lakers look messy with Russell Westbrook in tow. The Mavericks’ offense has been a dumpster fire under new head coach Jason Kidd. The Nuggets also suffered a weird 12-point loss to the Cavaliers last night.
A lot of good teams are not clicking just yet.
Don’t worry, though, I still find tremendous value in two spots on Tuesday night and have you covered. Let’s take a look at our best bets for tonight’s action.

NBA Bets of the Day 10/26/21
Golden State Warriors @ Oklahoma City Thunder, 8:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Warriors -9 (-110) at BetMGM
The Warriors (3-0) have gotten off to a tremendous start and they look like a totally different team from last season. Golden State opened the year with wins against both of the contending Los Angeles teams in the Lakers and Clippers.
Stephen Curry has been doing his part tremendously, but the Warriors have gotten supplemental production around him. Guard Jordan Poole has stepped up in a big way for Golden State in addition to Draymond Green‘s typical jack-of-all-trades performances. The bench, which now includes Otto Porter Jr. and Gary Payton II, has done well for the Warriors as well.
Oklahoma City (0-3) has been pretty awful to start the 2021-2022 campaign, suffering double-digit losses to the 76ers, Rockets, and Jazz thus far.
Back the Warriors and Stephen Curry to not allow a group of youngsters to keep this game close.
Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks, 8:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Rockets +10.5 (-110) at BetMGM
Initially expected to be amongst the league’s worst teams, views on the Houston Rockets are starting to change despite their 1-2 start. They have not looked like a legitimate playoff contender for a variety of reasons — youth being a key one — but they have looked better than advertised.
This Rockets team is young and raw, but a lot of their draft picks are looking like immediate NBA contributors. Rookie Jalen Green has looked fantastic in limited time and fellow first-round pick Alperen Sengun has played a key role off the bench for Houston.
Kevin Porter Jr. and Ja’Sean Tate both look dynamic and the presence of Christian Wood on the roster will always keep the Rockets relevant. This team is young and hungry, it seems.
The Mavericks, simply put, have looked like a dumpster fire through two games. Jason Kidd was a horrible head-coaching hire at the time and it’s easy to see why now. Kidd’s defensive game-planning has been terrific, but he has entirely wrecked the offensive flow and hurt Luka Doncic in the process.
I don’t anticipate this team being very good this year after having high expectations for them in the off-season. Back the Rockets in this Texas-based rivalry matchup.
