2021 World Series Game 5 Prop Bets
Framber Valdez: Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-165) at BetMGM
Wager: 1.0 units
The Astros are on the brink of elimination on the road and will be turning to southpaw Framber Valdez to try and save themselves. Valdez was terrific two starts ago as he threw eight innings of one-run ball against the Red Sox. His last start was a different story as he only managed to string together six outs and allowed five earned runs in the process.
Valdez will undoubtedly have a short leash in this game, but if he is on, the Astros will likely ride him as they do not want to tax their bullpen.
I expect Valdez to rise to the occasion as he did in Game 5 of the ALCS and I’m backing him to get four strikeouts because of it.

Dansby Swanson: Get a Hit (-155) at BetMGM
Wager: 1.0 units
Dansby Swanson led the comeback in Game 4 with a game-tying home run in the 7th inning. Prior to that homer, Swanson was not contributing much at the plate. Through 13 postseason games heading into Game 4, Swanson had mustered just a .235/.280/.255 slash line. The home run was his first of October and just his second extra base hit.
We have seen huge moments spark players and provide them with the confidence to simply snap out of their cold spell. Swanson is too good of a hitter to stay cold for long and I’m backing him to get a hit in Game 5 against Framber Valdez.
Jose Altuve: Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100) at BetMGM
Wager: 1.0 units
Jose Altuve crushed a deep home run in Game 4 of the series last night and has been looking great at the plate. Despite just a .207 batting average in October, he has put up a more respectable .826 OPS in the playoffs due to a homer-powered slugging percentage.
He’s had two multi-hit games in his last three, both of which he had home runs in.
I am backing Altuve to continue to find his offensive groove against unproven Braves lefty Tucker Davidson.
