The MLB regular season is coming to an end this weekend. It’s been fun ganging up on poor pitching, but the reality is that it’ll be much harder to find these types of spots in the playoffs. We’ll get to those when the postseason starts, but for now, we’ve got a couple more days to find winners in the regular season. It’s time to fire away on more poor pitching!

MLB Bet Of The Day 9/29/21
Arizona Diamondbacks @ San Francisco Giants (9:45 p.m. ET)
- Probable Pitchers: ARI RHP Merrill Kelly @ SFG LHP Alex Wood
The San Francisco Giants are doing everything they can to keep the Los Angeles Dodgers off their tail in the NL West. With a two-game lead over the Dodgers and five more games to play, the Giants, despite clinching a playoff berth, still need to play for their division to guarantee a playoff series in the NLDS.
The Giants have a favorable pitching matchup going against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Merrill Kelly. Kelly has a 7-11 record with a 4.59 ERA on the season. He’s also been rocked in September, giving up 17 hits, 10 runs and three home runs in 10 2/3 innings with four walks and just eight strikeouts.
Over Kelly’s last three starts, he’s allowed 28 hits and 15 runs in just 15 2/3 IP. The Diamondbacks have also been hanging Kelly out to dry, allowing him to throw nearly 90 pitches in every start, despite allowing seven or more hits in each of his last three games.
The Giants bats came alive one inning too late for Logan Webb last night, scoring four runs in the sixth inning. Against Kelly (8.22 xFIP, 4.2 K% over the last 30 days), it shouldn’t take that long for San Francisco’s lineup to wake up. The Giants offense, especially their lefties, should rake early and often.
Baseball Bet Of The Day: Giants Over 2.5 Runs In 1st 5 Innings (-125)
