An exciting Big 12 matchup is on tap this week when No. 12 Utah (3-0) heads to Stillwater to take on No. 14 Oklahoma State (3-0) on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 4 p.m. ET.
The Utes remained undefeated with a gutsy win over Utah State in Week 3, rallying from a 14-3 deficit despite the absence of standout QB Cam Rising. Meanwhile, the Cowboys rode a red-hot offense to another high-scoring victory, defeating Tulsa 45-10.
How will Utah fare in its first official Big 12 action? Here are the latest Utah vs Oklahoma State odds, plus my best bets and predictions for this weekend’s top-15 clash.

Utah vs Oklahoma State Prediction
Oklahoma State 34, Utah 30
Despite their No. 12 ranking, the Utes haven’t looked all that spectacular to begin the year. Part of that has to do with the spotty availability of Rising, who missed Utah’s meeting with Utah State in Week 3 but is expected to return for this tilt with Oklahoma State.
As for the Cowboys, it’s been all about the offense to begin the year. Mike Gundy’s team has scored at least 39 points in each of its first three games, and that’s good, because the defense has (expectedly) been so-so, particularly against the rush.
Even still, Oklahoma State should have the opportunity to win this game. QB Alan Bowman is airing it out at an absurd rate, and although Utah managed to overcome an early deficit against Utah State, it could struggle against a Cowboys team that’s consistently looking downfield.
Expect a back-and-forth battle that could be won by whichever team gets the final possession. My money is on Oklahoma State, but this will be close.
Sportsbook Play of the Day
Utah vs Oklahoma State Best Bets
Oklahoma State Moneyline (+100) vs Utah
Oddsmakers are projecting a toss-up — or close to it — and in those cases, I tend to recommend betting on the underdog to win outright. The value is on Oklahoma State, and it helps that they’ll be playing this one in front of a favorable crowd as well.
You know exactly what you’re getting from Bowman and the Cowboys, and I expect them to do just enough to get by the Utes. Go with Oklahoma State and make this your college football bet of the day.
Over 52 Points (-108)
Utah is known for its defense, but the Utes can put up points in a hurry, too, and they shouldn’t have any issues accomplishing that against the Cowboys. Regardless of which way this game goes, the Over feels like the best bet at 52 points.
