The Iron Bowl needs no introduction. As one of the oldest, most heated, and storied rivalries, this game has delivered some of college football’s most significant and memorable moments.
Regardless of whether you’re an Auburn or Alabama fan, this game becomes a must-watch spectacle every year.
Alabama will be playing for a chance to keep its playoff hopes alive, while the Tigers have a chance to ruin that and become bowl-eligible in the process.

Auburn vs Alabama Prediction
Alabama 34, Auburn 20
Auburn comes into this game off the heels of a huge home win against Texas A&M, solidly denting the Aggies’ chances of making the College Football Playoff. Now, they can put the nail in the coffin of their most hated rival, Alabama.
The Crimson Tide are coming off an embarrassing loss to Oklahoma, and while their playoff chances are on life support, there is still theoretically a path. Alabama has more to lose than Auburn has to gain; the Tide have to want it more.
On top of making the playoffs and keeping their season alive, Kalen DeBoer is already under pressure from the Alabama faithful in his first season in Tuscaloosa. Quarterback Jalen Milroe has a college legacy and NFL Draft stock to maintain.
I expect a bounce-back game for Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Not much matters more to Alabama fans than an Iron Bowl win, and some might even say it matters as much or more than a National Championship.
A win for Alabama would give it the only chance at the latter, but Auburn’s visit will be a true test of what this talented team is made of.
Sportsbook Play of the Day
Auburn vs Alabama Best Bets
Alabama -11.5 (-108)
Historically, big favorites have dominated in the Iron Bowl, with teams favored by double digits owning a 21-1 straight-up record.
When it comes to the spread, The Tide are 4-2 against the spread at home this season and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games. Auburn might be 4-2 ATS in road games this season, but Hugh Freeze’s squad is 4-11 straight up in its last 15 road games.
Alabama is going for its fifth straight Iron Bowl win. I like the Tide and Milroe to make a statement, covering and giving themselves a chance of a CFP berth. Plus, the public is heavily invested in Auburn — the Tigers are getting almost 70% of bets — so the contrarian play here is to roll with the Tide as one of your best college football bets today.
Ryan Williams: Anytime TD (+100)
Ryan Williams, the Tide’s leading receiver, has only scored two touchdowns in his last five games. However, he should get more opportunities on Saturday against an Auburn rush defense that has been solid this year, ranking inside the top 25 in the nation.
That means the ball should be in Milroe’s hands often, whether he’s scrambling or looking to open up the passing game. I like Milroe’s rushing yards prop here too, but once he’s able to break off a few scrambles for first downs, he’ll be able to find Williams for a deep strike or get him the ball in the open field and watch the athletic speedster do his thing all the way to the end zone.
