UCLA vs Gonzaga Same Game Parlays

UCLA squares off with Gonzaga in a battle between an elite defense and a prolific offense. The Bruins rank second on defense, while the Zags are first on offense, per KenPom.

Both of these teams are good enough to win the national championship, so this game projects to be one of the best in the tournament.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at UCLA vs Gonzaga Same Game Parlays.

UCLA vs Gonzaga Best SGP (+115) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

  • UCLA +3.5 (-245)
  • Under 150.5 Total Points (-205)

UCLA should be able to get it done in this game. This is a team that has been able to lock down their opponents throughout the season. In fact, opposing teams have failed to eclipse 65 points in 12 of UCLA’s last 15 games.

While Gonzaga has experience on their side, led by senior forward Drew Timme, it’s going to be tough for them against UCLA. The Bruins are coming into this one in top form, having won 14 of their last 15 games.

To play it safe, we’ll take UCLA +3.5 on the alternate spread. This way, even if Gonzaga is able to pull off the upset, we can still win if UCLA loses by three or fewer. I don’t envision a scenario where Gonzaga wins by a larger margin because UCLA’s defense is too good.

The alternate total at 150.5 points looks like a strong bet for the Under. Not only is UCLA’s defense elite, but they also rank 253rd in pace. This slow-paced style will limit possessions, making it difficult for it to get Over this number.

Since I’m projecting UCLA to win, that means they’re likely to dictate the tempo and force Gonzaga into their preferred style of play. I added to the total to make it a more favorable number for the best Same Game Parlay in this matchup and complete this NCAA Tournament pick of the day.

UCLA vs Gonzaga Longshot Same Game Parlay

UCLA vs Gonzaga Longshot SGP (+310) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

  • Gonzaga: Under 65.5 Points (+245)
  • UCLA -3.5 (+110)

We’ll build our longshot Same Game Parlay by choosing unfavorable numbers for longer odds.

Let’s start out with the Under 65.5 points on Gonzaga’s team total. We’re getting terrific value here at +245 odds because this is the top-ranked offense in the nation, per KenPom.

However, UCLA has held their opponents to 65 points or fewer in 29-of-36 games this season. Their slow pace and tenacious defense make scoring points a daunting task for opposing offenses. While this is a low bar for Gonzaga, we’ll take a shot given the matchup.

Taking UCLA -3.5 on the alternate spread is great for this parlay because it has a strong correlation. If Gonzaga fails to score 66 or more points, there’s a great chance that UCLA has controlled the game. After all, the Zags averaged 87.3 points per game this season.

We’ll take a shot with a pair of alternate spread and totals wagers to complete our longshot parlay.
