Duke vs Texas Tech features a game of contrasting styles, as the Blue Devils are an elite offensive team while the Red Raiders boast one of the stingiest defenses in the nation.
Accordingly, this West Regional Sweet 16 matchup in San Francisco is a perfect chance to put together a same-game parlay. Here’s a look at a couple that we like for Duke vs Texas Tech.
All March Madness odds are current as of Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. ET.

Parlay Odds: (+265) at BetRivers Sportsbook
- Duke Moneyline (-105)
- Over 136.5 points (-114)

The second-seeded Blue Devils are a shocking underdog in this matchup despite having the ACC Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero and a national defensive player of the year finalist in Mark Williams. If, like me, you believe Duke should be able to persevere past Texas Tech, you have to think they’ll score some points.

Duke has averaged more than 80 points per game this year, while Texas Tech scores an average of 72 per game, which makes the Over 136.5 seem like a lock.
The Red Raiders limit teams to about 60 points per game and have allowed 75 points in a game only once this season. Still, the Blue Devils have five players averaging double-digit points and are the most well-rounded offensive team Texas Tech has played all season.

Duke will also have ample time to prepare for the Texas Tech pressure, which means legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski — who is coaching in his final tournament after 42 years at Duke — should be able to develop a game plan to score against the vaunted Red Raiders defense.
Duke vs Texas Tech Longshot Same Game Parlay
Parlay Odds: (+2000) at BetMGM Sportsbook
- Duke Points: Over 72.5 (+175)
- Total Points: Over 140.5 (+145)
- Overtime: Yes (+1050)

So far, there have been six overtime games in the NCAA tournament, yet neither the Red Raiders nor Blue Devils have been involved in one yet. It’s safe to think that if the game gets to overtime, Duke will both have Over 72.5 points scored and the game should have more than 140 points, which makes it a completely plausible outcome if the game gets to extra time.

Granted, five out of 48 games is low odds (10.4%), but the parlay isn’t reliant on either side winning as long as the game gets to OT. Plus, at least one Sweet 16 game has gone to overtime in three of the past four tournaments, and this game expects to be the most competitive one of the regional-semifinal round, which makes OT more likely in this game than any other.
Bank on a tight game going to overtime for our CBB bet of the day.
