Alabama vs San Diego State Prop Bets

Last Updated: Mar 22, 2023

A defensive battle awaits us in Louisville this Friday when the Alabama Crimson Tide faces the San Diego State Aztecs in the Sweet 16. Both teams are in the top five of KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency rankings and have put on dominant defensive performances in their first two games of the tournament.

The Aztecs held Furman, one of the top offenses in the nation, to only 52 points in the Round of 32. The Crimson Tide were able to restrict Maryland to only 51 points in their last match.

Let’s dive in on the best props to bet on for this Sweet 16 showdown.

Alabama vs San Diego State Game Props

1st Half Under 63.5 Points (-125) DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

As mentioned above, both of these defenses are some of the best in the nation. Alabama does sport a top offense but the Aztecs do not. Besides Princeton, the Aztecs have the worst remaining adjusted offensive efficiency per KenPom.

Alabama also got off to a slow start against Maryland, scoring only 28 points in the first half. Back a low-scoring first half in this contest for your CBB pick of the day.

Alabama vs San Diego State Team Props

San Diego State Team Total Under 64.5 (-110) DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Aztecs are ranked 70th in KenPom’s adjusted offensive efficiency rankings and they will struggle against this Alabama defense. They are also not a big three-point shooting team and will rely on offensive rebounds to create second-chance baskets in the paint.

San Diego State was only able to muster up 63 points against the College of Charleston in the first round and this will be a much tougher test.

Alabama vs San Diego State Player Props

Brandon Miller Over 17.5 Points (-125) DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Big-time players show up at this stage of the tournament. Brandon Miller is a projected top-three pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and he can elevate his draft stock down the stretch here in the tournament.

He averages 19.1 points per game this season and scored 19 against the Terps in the Round of 32.
