Pelicans vs Thunder Prop Bets

Last Updated: Apr 12, 2023

After a crazy night to kickstart the NBA Play-In Tournament, it’s time for the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans to take center stage.

In this article, you’ll find my favorite team and player props in this all-important “win and you’re in” matchup. Let’s dive in and meet our two plays involving the Thunder and Pelicans.

Pelicans vs Thunder Player Prop Odds

In addition to our prop tips below, use our NBA lines to find advantageous NBA playoffs player props:

Pelicans vs Thunder Player Props

Luguentz Dort: Over 5.5 Rebounds (-115) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

If the Thunder are to have any success against the Pels this evening, they’ll likely need Dort to have a big night on the glass. For that reason, we’ll pounce on Dort’s’ rebound prop.

Dort has enjoyed a massive increase in playing time over the past few weeks, having logged 36 minutes or more in four of his past five games. He’s also grabbed eight or more boards in three of his past four games with a 6.1 versatility index (VI) rating (per NBAstuffer).

For this NBA bet of the day, I’m more than confident wagering a single unit on Dort to exceed his rebounding prop because he’s in a real favorable spot here.

CJ McCollum: Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (-155) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The past two games have seen Pelicans guard CJ McCollum attempt 18 total three-pointers with a 55.5% success rate. He also carries a 54.1 TS% (True Shooting Percentage) as one of the Pelicans’ most efficient scorers.

I typically avoid prop bets that carry a value of -155, but this one’s too good to pass up given the high volume and frequency from which McCollum is shooting beyond the arc.

Pelicans vs Thunder Team Props

Thunder: Under 111.5 Total Points (-115) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Heading into this game, the Pelicans are heavy (-215) favorites, which carries with it 68.25% implied win probability. In addition, New Orleans ranks sixth in the NBA in defensive efficiency (via NBAstuffer), so points will certainly be hard to come by for the Thunder.

If you’re looking for an intriguing team prop, look no further than the Thunders’ team total.
