Suns vs Pelicans Player Props For Game 6 | Best Prop Bets

Last Updated: Apr 28, 2022

The New Orleans Pelicans and Phoenix Suns head into Game 6 with the Suns holding a 3-2 series lead. The Pelicans were able to tie up the series in Game 4, but were rebuffed in Game 5 in a 15-point loss. They will now need to win back-to-back games and will be well on their way with a home matchup set against the Suns.

This series has put stars on display with Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum, and Jonas Valanciunas playing up to expectations and beyond. In the wake of Devin Booker’s hamstring injury, the Suns have received high-end production from Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, and Mikal Bridges.

Through the first five games of the series, our props have gone 10-5-1 for +3.95 units, including a current 6-3 streak from Games 3 to 5.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Wednesday, April 27 at 2 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 6 Player Props

Chris Paul, Suns: OVER 20.5 Points (-115)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Paul has provided an excellent veteran presence to this point in response to the loss of Booker. He has averaged well over a double-double in this series, and he logged 22 points in Game 5.

Paul typically acts as the primary facilitator for the Suns, particularly in the first half, but he routinely looks to score in the second half. If possible, we recommend grabbing a live player prop on this Over for Chris Paul when it drops as a result.

Jonas Valanciunas, Pelicans: OVER 12.5 Rebounds (-140)

WAGER: 1 Unit

We have backed the Over on this prop quite a bit throughout this series, and Valanciunas has routinely cashed it. He is averaging 15.6 boards per game in this series, and while that number is inflated by his 25-rebound performance in Game 1, he has cashed the Over on this prop in four of five games.

Back the Over once again for one unit as Valanciunas continues to have limited competition for rebounds when he is on the floor.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 6 Game Props

Neither Team to Score 30 Points in 1st Quarter (-150)

WAGER: 1 Unit

We have taken this exact prop bet several times in this series, and it has been a consistent winner. Across ten different outcomes, only twice has a team in this series reached 30 points in the first quarter. The Pelicans had exactly 30 points in Game 2 and the Suns reached 32 points in Game 5.

The odds have some juice attached, but there is still tons of value to be had here.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Pelicans Game 5 Props

While many of the other playoff series around the NBA have been thoroughly lopsided, the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans have put together an excellent battle.

The Pelicans tied up the series in Game 4 with the odds entirely against them. The Suns’ loss of star guard Devin Booker has shaped this series differently than originally expected and it has given way to other players to provide production.

Brandon Ingram has looked every bit the part of a superstar this series, and CJ McCollum has filled in admirably as his co-star. The Suns have tried to play catch-up offensively without Booker, but Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, and Mikal Bridges have all individually done their part.

Through the first four games of this series, our props have gone 8-3-1, +5.3 units, including a current 5-1 streak for Games 3 and 4.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Monday, April 25, at 3 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 5 Player Props

Brandon Ingram, Pelicans: OVER 1.5 Threes (-110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Ingram is a gifted three-point shooter, but he had an off night from beyond the arc in Game 4, going 1-for-5 from distance.

In Games 2 and 3, however, he combined for an excellent 6-for-9 rate from three, making all three of his attempts in Game 2 and going 3-for-6 in Game 3.

Ingram making multiple threes is a great bet here, as he has not been phased by the elite wing defenders the Suns have in Bridges and Cameron Johnson.

Back Ingram to drill at least two three-pointers in Game 5 for our NBA bet of the day.

Jae Crowder, Suns: UNDER 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Jae Crowder has mostly been a non-factor at the offensive end in this series prior to Game 4. He has gotten more looks on that end of the floor in the wake of Booker’s hamstring injury, however.

With that said, 17.5 points, rebounds, and assists is a tough bar for Crowder to clear. We suggest backing his Under in this regard for a one-unit wager.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 5 Team Props

Neither Team to Score 30 Points in 1st Quarter (-135)

WAGER: 1 Unit

We took this exact game prop in Game 4, and it hit comfortably. We will once again be backing it, as this has become a consistent trend throughout this series.

Both teams produce at a lower clip in the first quarter. The Pelicans hit 30 points on one occasion in the first quarter this series, and the Suns have not done it yet. Take this prop for one unit at most.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Pelicans Game 4 Props

This series between the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans has been an excellent one to this point with both teams trading wins through Game 3. The Suns put together a convincing Game 1 win and the Pelicans returned the favor with a double-digit win in Game 2. Game 3 was a lot closer as the Suns took a three-point game on the road to make the series 2-1.

This series features tons of stars, but are without arguably the brightest one in guard Devin Booker (hamstring). Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton filled in admirably in Booker’s absence for the Suns, however, with both of them posting double-doubles.

On the Pelicans side, Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum have both been impressive as they try to stay afloat against the Western Conference’s top seed.

Through the first three games of the series, our props have gone 6-2-1 (+5.0 units), including a clean sweep of Game 3 for +3.35 units.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. ET.

Pelicans vs Suns Game 4 Player Props

Jonas Valanciunas: OVER 11.5 Rebounds (-125)

WAGER: 2 Units

Jonas Valanciunas is one of only two capable rebounders in this series with Ayton being the other. Valanciunas is averaging 16.3 rebounds per game in this series, including 25 boards in Game 1.

Ayton had underwhelmed on the glass through the series’ first two games, but he turned it around with 17 rebounds in Game 3. I don’t expect this trend for Ayton to continue given his underwhelming work on the glass in Games 1 and 2.

I’m taking the Over 11.5 on Jonas Valanciunas’s rebounds for a sizable two-unit wager.

Jae Crowder: UNDER 11.5 Points + Assists (-110)

WAGER: 2 Units

Jae Crowder has proven to be an excellent role player for the Suns this season, but a solid chunk of his value on the court comes from his defense. He is the last option offensively for the Suns and his numbers have demonstrated this throughout the series.

Crowder is averaging 5.3 points and 1.7 assists per game in this series, far beneath the betting total for Game 4. Booker being out might provide Crowder with some extra offensive looks, but I still do not believe it will be enough.

He is also not much of a passer himself, so he will most definitely have to reach double-digit scoring. In Game 1, he had just two combined points and assists. In Game 2, he had six combined, and in Game 3, he had 13.

He has hit the Over just once in this series and has been underwhelming in these two categories. I see a ton of value to be had here.

Pelicans vs Suns Game 4 Game Props

Neither Team to Score 30 Points in 1st Quarter (-130)

WAGER: 0.5 Units

All of the scoring in this series has taken place in the second half. The first quarter in all three games has been the lowest scoring with only the Pelicans scoring 30 points in Game 2.

All other team totals have fallen far below 20. This is a fun prop to take for a small half-unit wager given the lack of first-half scoring becoming a trend in this series.

PREVIOUSLY: PELS-SUNS GAME 3 PROPS

The outlook of this series between the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans has massively shifted with the injury to Devin Booker (hamstring) forcing the Suns to find other avenues of offense moving forward. This has a significant impact on prop betting for this series as well.

Despite Booker’s absence, the Suns have a capable roster from top to bottom that is worth looking at for some Overs on points and other stats.

The Pelicans’ best players have been stuffing the stat sheet as well, with Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum notching near-triple-doubles in Game 2. Jonas Valanciunas has also done his part on the glass, hitting his Over for rebounds in back-to-back games and averaging 19.5 rebounds in the series.

After going 1-1-1, -0.55 units with our Game 2 props, we will look to put together a winning day for Game 3 as we did in Game 1 with a 2-1, +2.2 unit performance.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Thursday, April 21, at 5 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 3 Player Props

Chris Paul, Suns: OVER 20.5 Points (-125)

WAGER: 1 Unit

After backing Chris Paul’s Over 17.5 points prop in Game 2, we are back at it again with an adjusted line. Paul will be forced to play a combo role of facilitator and scorer with a high usage rate in Game 3, and I see this point total as being far too low.

Paul had 30 points in Game 1 even with a healthy Booker, and we see 21 points as an easy bar to clear. Make this your NBA bet of the day.

Brandon Ingram, Pelicans: OVER 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Ingram is turning into a bona fide superstar before our eyes in this series. He put together arguably the most prolific performance of his young NBA career in Game 2 with 37 points, 11 boards, and nine assists. He has done it all for the Pelicans who are in the middle of trying to pull off one of the surprising upsets in recent NBA history.

Ingram covered this PRA total with his scoring alone in Game 2, and we expect him to do something similar in Game 3. Ingram has proven to be an excellent rebounder and facilitator given his high usage rate. Back the Over on Ingram’s PRA prop for a unit with his high ceiling in mind.

Pelicans vs Suns Game 3 Team Props

Double Results: Suns/Suns (+125)

WAGER: 1 Unit

For our best team prop, we will be backing the Suns to be leading at halftime and fulltime. The spread for the Suns in Game 3 is only 1.5 points given all the recent news, but we see this as too dramatic of a line adjustment and should take advantage accordingly.

The Suns are still an excellent team even without Booker, and I like them to be leading by a couple points at halftime and maintaining that lead en route to a Game 3 win.

The Phoenix Suns and New Orleans played a relatively lopsided Game 1 on Sunday with a final score of 110-99. The Pelicans did show more fight in the game than many expected, but they still lost the game by double-digits.

This game features some of the league’s most prominent talents with the Suns hoisting Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton, while the Pelicans are represented by Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum. Both teams have some other excellent supporting cast members that are capable of stuffing the stat sheet as well.

Devin Booker had 12 total rebounds/assists and Mikal Bridges had two blocks, but the Pelicans did not win the race to 10 points for our prop picks in Game 1. Daniel Preciado checks in at 2-1, +2.2 units for this series so far. Let’s discuss some of the best Game 2 prop bets for Suns vs Pelicans in the quarterfinals of the NBA Playoffs.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 2 Player Props

Chris Paul, Suns: OVER 17.5 Points (-110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Paul was excellent in Game 1 of the series, putting up 30 points and 10 assists. The opening line on his point total for the game was 17.5, just as it is for Game 2, and we see some value here.

The Suns’ rotation is soaked up by their starters and Cameron Johnson, opening up more minutes for Paul. He’s one of the more gifted and underrated three-level scorers in the NBA, and it should be quite easy for him to amass 18+ points in this game, making this our NBA bet of the day.

Jonas Valanciunas, Pelicans: OVER 12.5 Rebounds (-135)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Both of these teams play with rather undersized lineups, and this is prime pickings for a player as large as Jonas Valanciunas. He grabbed 25 rebounds in Game 1, outworking His only true competition on the glass in Deandre Ayton, grabbed nine boards of his own in Game 1.

I’m expecting Valanciunas to have a repeat performance in Game 2 — maybe not to the tune of 25 rebounds, but maybe closer to the vicinity of 15 to 17.

Deandre Ayton, Suns: OVER 10.5 Rebounds (-125)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Using some of the logic we applied to the Paul Over on points and Valaciunas Over on rebounds, we will be taking Ayton for Over 10.5 rebounds.

As previously mentioned, the Suns run a very small rotation with basically all starters receiving somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 minutes per night. Ayton is the primary rebounding threat for the Suns, and given their excellent defensive effort, there should be a lot of misses up for grabs.

His only competition for rebounds on the opposing side is Valanciunas, and even if he dominates the glass, Ayton should still figure to grab double-digit boards.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 2 Game Props

Either Team to Win By 5 or Less Points (+245)

WAGER: 0.5 Units

As is a consistent theme for my view of Game 2, the Pelicans are likely to make this game closer than they allowed in Game 1. This prop at DraftKings presents excellent value as it can go in either direction.

The Suns can maintain control of this game and still win by five or fewer points, and if the Pelicans pull off an unlikely victory, it probably won’t be a blowout.

This is a plus-odds game prop that has some value not indicated by the odds set on it. Take this for a small half-unit wager for that reason alone.

With the NBA Play-In Tournament wrapping up on Friday, the New Orleans Pelicans find themselves thrust into a tough date with the Phoenix Suns in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Pelicans are a solid, young team when healthy, but they are going up against the current favorites to win the NBA title this season. It will be tough for the Pelicans to tackle this feat, but crazier things have happened in the NBA before.

Despite being so lopsided, this game features current and former All-Stars on both sides, including Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Brandon Ingram. Other big names like CJ McCollum, Deandre Ayton, and Mikal Bridges will also be on display.

With tons of talent on the floor, let’s take a look at the best Game 1 prop bets for Suns vs Pelicans in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Saturday, April 16 at 6 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 1 Player Props

Devin Booker, Suns: OVER 8.5 Rebounds + Assists (-150)

WAGER: 1.5 Units

Devin Booker is one of the best shooting guards in the league, and given the lack of Pelicans defenders capable of stopping him, I envision him having a well-rounded game. He will always get his scoring in, but I see him acting as a secondary facilitator to Chris Paul as well.

Booker averaged 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game during the regular season. If he simply puts up his season averages in Game 1, he’ll eclipse this total in today’s NBA bet of the day.

Mikal Bridges, Suns: OVER 1.5 Steals + Blocks (+120)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Mikal Bridges is one of the premier defenders in the game at this juncture and arguably the best wing defender. Period.

He clogs up passing lanes at an exceptional rate, and during the regular season, he averaged 1.2 steals and 0.4 blocks per game. While those averages don’t exactly stand out, Bridges had 23 games this season where he had multiple steals alone.

Bridges had multiple “stocks" in 45% of his games this season (37 of 82), which is right in line with the implied odds (+120). Still, I find this prop to have tons of value considering the Pelicans ranked in the middle of the pack in terms of turnovers per game during the regular season.

Suns vs Pelicans Game 1 Game Props

Pelicans Win 1Q Race To 10 Points (+145)

WAGER: 0.5 Units

The Pelicans are capable of putting points on the board in bunches, and if they can get off to a hot start, this game prop bet has tons of value.

The race-to-10-points props are usually close to a coin flip, as they typically only represent the first third of the first quarter. In four minutes, anything can happen.

The excellent plus-odds value here keeps me interested at (+145). This should be played for a small wager.
