Nuggets vs Timberwolves Prop Bets

Last Updated: Apr 24, 2023

Anthony Edwards easily hit his Over in scoring in Game 4 and continues to be an offensive force in this series. However, I got unlucky with Karl-Anthony Towns, as he fouled out of the game and was only five points short of going Over his points prop.

We have another game total at 220 points, so there are plenty of player prop opportunities and value here, especially on the Nuggets’ side of the ball.

Let’s break down the best player and team props for this Game 5 showdown between the Nuggets and Timberwolves.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 5 Player Prop Odds

Use our NBA odds to locate the best ways to bet on playoff prop bets:

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 5 Player Props

Jamal Murray: Over 22.5 Points (-105) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Jamal Murray has been much better at home than on the road in this series. He has scored at least 24 points in both home games, but he failed to reach 20 points in each of the games played in Minnesota.

Murray’s three-point shooting is also far better at home, as he went 10-for-20 in Denver from beyond the arc and only 3-for-13 on the road.

Back Murray as your NBA bet of the day to get back on track in Game 5 and lead the Nuggets’ offense to a series win.

Nikola Jokić: Over 8.5 Assists (-125) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Jokić tied his season-high in scoring with 43 points in Game 4 and only had six assists. The Nuggets are a better team when Jokić is playing more of a facilitator role and is not the primary scorer.

The Wolves may look to double-team and force the ball out of his hands in Game 5, which will allow for him to rack up the assists.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 5 Team Props

Nuggets: 1Q -3 (-115) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Nuggets can end the series at home in Game 5, and I expect them to get off to a hot start. They had a three-point lead after the first quarter in Game 1 and a nine-point lead after the first quarter in Game 2.

With the opportunity to close out the Timberwolves at hand, Denver will take care of business early and cover this 3-point first-quarter spread.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 4 Props Preview

We split the player props from Game 3 and missed out on the first-half Under. The Timberwolves’ defense has yet to show up in this series, so we may be in for another high-scoring game.

Let’s break down the best player and team props for this Game 4 showdown between the Nuggets and Timberwolves.

Anthony Edwards: Over 27.5 Points (-120) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

With the Timberwolves’ season hanging in the balance, it’s time for their star players to extend it. Anthony Edwards has been fantastic in the last two games, and I expect that to continue in Game 4.

Edwards put up just 18 points in Game 1, but he’s averaged 38.5 per game in the two contests since, and he’s done so while shooting over 53% from the field.

He scored 36 in Game 3 on 22 attempts, and he also attacked the rim more often in Game 3, which saw him take 15 free throws.

Edwards will need to put forth a monstrous effort in Game 4, which makes the Over at 27.5 points my NBA bet of the day.

Karl-Anthony Towns: Over 21.5 Points (-125) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Towns stepped up in Game 3, scoring 27 points after struggling in the first two games of the series. He shot over 50% from the field and didn’t settle for too many three-point shots, which also allowed him to attempt a series-high five free throws.

If Minnesota’s defense struggles yet again, both Edwards and Towns will need to contribute offensively to keep them in the game.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 4 Team Props

Timberwolves: First-Half Moneyline (+115) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Timberwolves will be fighting to stay alive in the series, so I expect them to come out playing fast and strong. They may also make adjustments to their starting lineup, which could help their defense as well.

Swapping Nickeil Alexander-Walker for Kyle Anderson, for example, could be a worthwhile move. Alexander-Walker has struggled thus far in the series, while Anderson is a versatile two-way forward.

In any case, I like the Wolves to lead at halftime.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 3 Props Preview

We hit both of our player props in Game 2, and there are favorable spots again in Game 3. The game total sits at 223, so Vegas does expect a relatively high-scoring affair, giving us plenty of player prop opportunities.

Let’s break down the best player and team props for this Game 3 showdown between the Nuggets and Timberwolves.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 3 Player Props

Anthony Edwards: Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (-120) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Anthony Edwards had a huge Game 2, logging 41 points and landing six three-pointers on 10 attempts. The Timberwolves will need his scoring to get back into the series, so I am going back to this prop in Game 3.

With Karl-Anthony Towns struggling from the field, Edwards has picked up the offensive slack in this series in a major way. Back the third-year guard to make at least three triples on Friday night with our NBA bet of the day.

Karl-Anthony Towns: Over 8.5 Rebounds (-140) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Towns has struggled scoring in this series, but he’s been a force on the boards. He grabbed 10 rebounds in Game 1 and 12 in Game 2, both of which are well above his regular-season average of 8.1 per game.

The Nuggets lack size outside of Nikola Jokić, so this looks like a favorable spot for him to continue cleaning the glass.

Look for Towns to have another efficient outing.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 3 Team Props

Under 114.5 First-Half Points (-110) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The first-half total in Games 1 and 2 has gone Under this mark so far in this series. 99 points were scored in the first half of Game 1, and that number increased to 113 in Game 2.

The third quarter has been the difference maker, as there were 63 combined points scored in that frame in Game 2. With that in mind, we should expect a tightly-contested and low-scoring opening in Game 3.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 2 Props Preview

The Nuggets are coming off a blowout victory over the Timberwolves in Game 1. The game total for Game 2 sits at 223.5, so Vegas is expecting a relatively high-scoring affair in Wednesday night’s contest.

A high game total means plenty of player prop action, so let’s dive into some of the best team and player props for this Game 2 matchup between the Nuggets and Timberwolves.

All odds are current as of Wednesday, April 19, at 2:30 p.m. ET and are courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 2 Player Props

Nikola Jokić Over 8.5 Assists (-135) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Foul trouble and the growing point differential kept Nikola Jokić below 30 minutes in Game 1, but this should be a closer affair. Jokić has been a facilitator on offense all season long, averaging a career-high 9.8 assists per game.

I expect Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. to be open on the wings in this contest, with Jokić kicking it out to the perimeter. The Timberwolves’ strength is their size, so I don’t expect him to have much success scoring in the paint. Therefore, he could become a pass-first center tonight.

Back the big man to go Over his assists prop in tonight’s matchup as our NBA bet of the day.

Anthony Edwards Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+120) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

For the Timberwolves to have any chance in this series, Anthony Edwards needs to become a force offensively. He only attempted four threes in Game 1 with one make.

I expect Edwards to come out hot from beyond the arc in Game 2. If he connects on his first couple of threes, he will easily hit the Over on this prop.

The blowout kept him under 30 minutes in Game 1, so if Game 2 stays close, he will have plenty more opportunities to hit this mark.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 2 Team Props

Nuggets Over 41.5 Rebounds (-115) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Nuggets dominated the glass in Game 1, outrebounding Minnesota 54 to 38. I do expect the Timberwolves to shoot better from the field in Game 2, but the rebounding opportunities will still be there.

Denver grabbed 11 offensive rebounds in the contest as well. Aaron Gordon and Porter Jr. have the length and hustle to chase down rebounds, so this prop seems likely to hit.

Look for the Nuggets to dominate the glass in Game 2.
