Suns vs Mavericks Props For Game 7 | Best Player Prop Bets & NBA Playoffs Odds

Last Updated: May 14, 2022

The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks head into what is set up to be a thrilling Game 7. Both teams have battled all the way through, and despite facing elimination in Game 6, the Mavericks drilled the Suns by nearly 30 points.

The Suns are likely to come back with a vengeance as they try to fulfill their prophecy as Western Conference champions, at minimum.

The Mavericks will need everything they can get from Luka Doncic, who they consistently view as their leader. Doncic will have to thwart the efforts of a three-headed monster in Phoenix made up of Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton.

With so much at stake, let’s discuss some of the best prop bets for Game 7 of the Suns vs Mavericks series. Daniel Preciado’s player props in the NBA Playoffs have gone 20-14, +2.9 units.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Friday, May 13, at 11 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 7 Player Props

Dorian Finney-Smith, Mavericks: UNDER 11.5 Points (-110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

In a game where I am fully expecting Doncic to take as many as 35 field goal attempts, the ball simply will not be in the hands of Dorian Finney-Smith very often. He managed just four points in Game 6 even with the Mavericks having a solid offensive showing and scoring 113 points.

A large portion of Finney-Smith’s value comes on the defensive end, and he should largely be focused on playing up to par on that end of the floor regardless of his scoring, making this our NBA bet of the day.

Luka Doncic, Mavericks: OVER 9.5 Rebounds (-150)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Despite the juice attached to the Over 9.5 rebounds prop for Doncic, I see tremendous value here. Doncic has posted double-digit rebounds in four out of six games and is averaging 9.8 rebounds per game across the series.

Doncic does not have much competition for rebounds altogether on his own team or on the Suns. In a game where I expect Doncic to be the main source of counting stats for the Mavericks, I believe him reaching double-digit rebounds is more of an expectation than a possibility.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 7 Game Props

Neither Team Scores 30 Points in First Quarter (-115)

WAGER: 1 Unit

In a game that has an Over/Under total of 206.5, the odds on this prop are quite strange. Neither team reached the 30-point threshold in Game 6, and the Suns have done it on three occasions. The Mavericks have done it once.

I have backed this same prop three times previously in this series, and it has hit twice. The odds do not make sense here, and I find it interesting considering the sharp drop in the Over/Under betting total game-over-game.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Mavericks Game 6 Props

The Phoenix Suns will look to win the series on the road against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 6. It’s been a back-and-forth affair to this point, and the Mavericks are looking to force a Game 7 in Phoenix.

As was expected from the beginning, the star power in this series has shined through with Devin Booker returning admirably from a hamstring injury and Luka Doncic putting the Mavericks on his back. Both players have stuffed the stat sheet recently, but there might be other hidden gems in terms of player props for this game.

Let’s discuss some of the best prop bets for Game 6 between the Suns. Daniel Preciado’s player props in the NBA Playoffs have gone 19-12, +4.35 units.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Thursday, May 12, at 1 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 6 Player Props

Spencer Dinwiddie, Mavericks: UNDER 9.5 Points (-120)

WAGER: 2 Units

Spencer Dinwiddie has mostly been a non-factor in this series, and that extended to Game 5 where the guard had just two points on 0-for-3 shooting. Dinwiddie is currently averaging just 7.0 points per game this series, a few points beneath the total on DraftKings.

The Mavericks have shown that they are far more interested in giving backcourt touches to Doncic and Jalen Brunson, essentially leaving Dinwiddie in the dust moving forward.

Look for Dinwiddie to come in with another low scoring total in Game 6 and make this your NBA bet of the day.

Luka Doncic, Mavericks: OVER 4.5 Turnovers (-105)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Doncic has one of the highest usage rates of any player in the NBA, which often leads to him racking up turnovers. He’s averaging 5.0 turnovers per game with three games of five turnovers or more.

This is moreso a product of high usage as opposed to terrible ball security, but this does not matter when it comes to betting on player props. Back Doncic to cough up the ball on at least five occasions.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 6 Game Props

Neither Team Scores 30 Points in First Quarter (-150)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Across the playoffs, I have consistently backed this prop in Phoenix Suns road games. The Unders for the full game tend to hit as well as the Unders in the first quarter.

This gives way to this prop making a ton of sense for Game 6 with the Under for the full game at just 211.5. The defense has just been too good, especially early on, to not take the value here.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Mavericks Game 5 Props

With the series tied and heading to Phoenix for Game 5, there is a lot on the line for both the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns.

This series has been led by two of the best players in the league with Luka Doncic and Devin Booker both routinely turning in excellent performances. Booker had 35 points in Game 4 to help the Suns stay close, but Doncic’s 26 points and 11 assists proved to be the difference in the game.

Let’s discuss some of the best prop bets for Game 5 between the Mavericks and Suns. Daniel Preciado’s player props in the NBA Playoffs have gone 17-11, +2.85 units.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Tuesday, May 10, at 2 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 5 Player Props

Chris Paul, Suns: OVER 8.5 Assists (-120)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Chris Paul played just 23 minutes in Game 4 after fouling out, and he was well on his way to posting Over 8.5 assists. However, Paul dealt with some off-the-court issues with his family being harassed in Dallas, and he may return with a vengeance.

The veteran point guard’s way of accomplishing this is typically by way of his passing ability and getting his teammates involved.

Expect Paul to notch double-digit assists in this game as he has for most of the playoffs this season with our NBA bet of the day.

Devin Booker, Suns: OVER 2.5 Threes (-150)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Booker has been outstanding and has not missed a step since returning from a hamstring injury at the tail end of the Suns’ first series. He had 35 points in Game 4 and made four threes in the process on six attempts.

Booker has truly taken the reins as the primary scorer for the Suns, and that should be no different here.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 5 Team Props

Either Team to Win by 5 or Less Points (+200)

WAGER: 0.5 Units

This series has not featured many close races or photo finishes, but I see this as a pivotal game in the series that results in something different than the previous four games.

The Mavericks and Suns have already demonstrated that they are capable of playing at their best against one another, it just has not happened simultaneously at any point in this series with the smallest margin of victory for either team being seven points.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Mavericks Game 4 Props

The Dallas Mavericks have climbed back into the series against the Phoenix Suns after their Game 3 victory at home. Both teams have a lot riding on Game 4, as the Suns will try not to let the Mavericks come back entirely to even the series.

Mavericks star Luka Doncic was just one assist shy of a triple-double in Game 3, while Jalen Brunson had 28 points, providing the difference in the game. The Suns were held down offensively for the better part of the game, scoring fewer than 100 points for the first time in the series.

Let’s discuss some of the best prop bets for Game 4 between the Mavericks and Suns. Daniel Preciado’s player props in the NBA Playoffs have gone 16-10, +4.95 units.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Saturday, May 7 at 12 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 4 Player Props

Devin Booker, Suns: OVER 26.5 Points (-105)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Devin Booker is still nursing a hamstring injury, but he has looked excellent in the past four games he has been a part of — outside of Game 3, that is.

Booker still had 18 points, but that is not nearly enough if the Suns are looking to knock the wind out of the Mavericks’ proverbial sails. It was his second-lowest scoring performance of the postseason, with the other game coming immediately after his return from his hamstring injury.

Booker had 30 points in Game 2, and I expect a performance similar to that one coming in Game 4, making this our NBA bet of the day.

Luka Doncic, Mavericks: Records a Triple-Double (+280)

WAGER: 0.25 Units

This will be a small play, but I envision Doncic turning in a well-rounded effort for the Mavericks in Game 4. As previously mentioned, Doncic was just one assist shy of a triple-double in Game 3.

Look for him to get his teammates involved while also scoring in the double-digits with ease and continuing his torrid rebounding pace.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 4 Game Props

Neither Team to Score 30 Points in First Quarter (-135)

WAGER: 1 Unit

This is a game prop we have consistently backed in Suns playoffs games, but have taken a break from it recently due to the high-scoring nature of Games 1 and 2 of this series. Neither team reached the 30-point threshold in Game 3, though the Mavericks missed it by just one point.

We anticipate this game being low-scoring given how solid the Dallas defense looked in Game 3 and how strong we know the Suns’ defense already is.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Mavericks Game 3 Props

The Phoenix Suns have taken a 2-0 lead in their semifinals matchup with the Dallas Mavericks and Game 3 is pivotal for both teams. The star power has certainly been on display through the first two games of the series with Luka Doncic averaging 40 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and Devin Booker looking as if he was completely healthy.

If the Mavericks want to get back into this series, they’ll need to get more production out of their depth players. All in all, the Mavericks are down for the count as of now, but with the series heading to Dallas, anything could happen.

Let’s discuss some of the best prop bets for Game 3 of the Suns vs Mavericks series. Daniel Preciado’s player props in the NBA Playoffs have gone 15-8, +7.05 units.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Thursday, May 5, at 4 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 3 Player Props

Chris Paul, Suns: To Get a Double-Double (+120)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Chris Paul’s facilitating skills have taken a back seat in recent playoff games for the Suns as he has been tasked with scoring more with Booker out. However, with Booker back and playing well, Paul can return to playing the role of primary floor general.

Paul had averaged well over double-digit assists per game against the Pelicans, and it will not be hard for him to get back to that.

Back CP3 to get his double-double on points and assists for a one-unit wager at (+120) odds in our NBA bet of the day.

Luka Doncic, Mavericks: OVER 4.5 Turnovers (-120)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Doncic has one of the highest usage rates of any player in the NBA, and this leads to a consistently high amount of turnovers on his end. He had five turnovers in Game 1 and seven in Game 2.

The Suns have some of the best wing and perimeter defenders in the league with Mikal Bridges acting as the main clogger of passing lanes for Doncic. Expect the young star to continue to have a dose of ball security issues that comes with the territory of the ball being in his hands constantly.

Jalen Brunson, Mavericks: UNDER 17.5 Points (-110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Jalen Brunson has had some serious troubles with the Suns’ perimeter defense on him so far this series, leading us to back the Under for his points in Game 3. Brunson averaged 16.3 points per game during the regular season and 27.8 points per game against the Utah Jazz in the first round.

While these numbers look solid, Brunson has had significant trouble the past two games, averaging just 11.0 points per game on 32% shooting.

Back Brunson to continue this run of poor performance as the Suns make it a priority to cut off Doncic’s main sidekick.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 3 Game Props

Suns Win Race to 30 Points in First Quarter (+320)

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Mavericks have yet to score 30 points in the first quarter this series and the Suns have done it in back-to-back games. The odds here for the Suns to be the first team to put up 30 points in the first quarter are incredible at (+320).

The current favorite in this prop bet is for neither team to do it at (-110) odds, which is strange considering the high-scoring nature of the series so far.

Back this prop for a unit even with the longshot odds.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Mavericks Game 2 Props

The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks are set to clash in Game 2 after a seven-point victory for the Suns in Game 1.

Both teams came into the series with serious momentum, but the Suns knocked the wind out of Dallas’ sails to a degree in the opening game. The Mavericks received a superstar performance from Luka Doncic and will need him to keep it going if they intend to even the series.

Each of the teams have excellent players on both sides when analyzing potential player props. Devin Booker and Doncic represent the biggest names in this series, but players such as Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, and Jalen Brunson should not be discounted.

Daniel Preciado’s player props in the NBA Playoffs have gone 13-7, +5.3 units. All NBA gameday odds are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Tuesday, May 3 at 1 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 2 Player Props

Devin Booker, Suns: UNDER 25.5 Points (-110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Booker suffered a hamstring injury against the Pelicans in the Suns’ opening series and while it did not appear to bog him down at any point in Game 1, it is something to monitor.

The initial timetable for his return was 2-3 weeks and we are just barely entering the earlier part of that timeframe. Booker scored 23 points in Game 1, and it remains to be seen if he is able to return to his high gear as a scorer. He functioned as primary facilitator with eight assists last time out and limited aul to just three dimes.

Luka Doncic, Mavericks: UNDER 9.5 Assists (+110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Mavericks’ primary scoring source is Doncic, and they will need him to focus on that end more than anything.

Doncic is one of the highest usage players in the league and while he typically acts as the first option and primary facilitator for Dallas, his focus may need to shift if the Mavericks want to win this series.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 2 Game Props

Suns to Win Race to 30 Points in the First Quarter (+175)

The Suns were able to score 35 points in the first quarter of Game 1, and given this upcoming game’s projection to be high-scoring, I expect it to be that way from start to finish.

The odds on this prop are excellent given the circumstances.

PREVIOUSLY: Suns vs Mavericks Game 1 Props

The Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns head into Game 1 of the second round with many storylines to keep track of, and each team will be looking to capitalize on their momentum as they battle it out.

As we take a look at player props and game props for this series, it is important to point out the plethora of stars involved. On the Suns side, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton lead the charge, while Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson soak up a huge chunk of the Mavericks’ offensive force.

Daniel Preciado’s player props in the NBA Playoffs have gone 12-6 for +4.8 units.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by BetMGM Sportsbook and are current as of Sunday, May 1, at 12 p.m. ET.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 1 Player Props

Chris Paul, Suns: OVER 16.5 Points (-130)

WAGER: 2 Units

We have backed the Over on Chris Paul’s points pretty consistently throughout the playoffs and we are not stopping for Game 1 of this series.

Paul scored 33 points in Game 6 against the Pelicans and has provided a solid boost in the wake of the Devin Booker injury.

With Booker still figuring to play a limited role, I envision Paul scoring 20 points or more in our NBA bet of the day.

Chris Paul: OVER 9.5 Assists (-150)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Let’s keep the Chris Paul theme going in this one. Chris Paul easily averaged a double-double in the first round of the playoffs, with 11.3 assists per game. He only had eight assists in Game 6, but had multiple games in the series with 14 assists, one of which was with Devin Booker on the floor.

Paul has proven over and over again that he is capable of putting together outstanding efforts as both a scorer and a facilitator.

Suns vs Mavericks Game 1 Game Props

Luka Doncic To Score First Basket (+450)

WAGER: 0.25 Units

For our Game 1 team prop, we will be looking at a first basket longshot prop.

Luka Doncic is the primary scoring option for Dallas, by far, and he has had an extended history of scoring the first basket for the Mavericks. Still, he has to score his first bucket before the Suns score one themselves, and that could be a tall task.

There’s a ton of science that goes into these picks in most instances, but we will back this one for a small 0.25-unit wager on entirely gut feel.
