Celtics vs 76ers Parlays

Last Updated: May 14, 2023

It has been said that the two greatest words in sports are, “Game 7." Perhaps after this series concludes on Sunday, we can adjust that to include “Same-Game Parlay.”

After all, I have hit several SGPs in this series, including a doozy of a (+1776) play in Game 4. Game 6 was unkind, but we have one more chance for glory in Game 7.

Here are my favorite Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers parlays for Game 7.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 7 Best Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Best SGP (+205) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.8 Units

  • Jaylen Brown: Under 25.5 Points (-180)
  • Marcus Smart: 10+ Points (-650)
  • James Harden: Over 4.5 Rebounds (-470)
  • Robert Williams: Over 4.5 Rebounds (-750)
  • P.J. Tucker: Under 6.5 Rebounds (-650)

Celtics vs 76ers Game 7 best same-game parlay ticket at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Brown has yet to score more than 25 points in any game in this series despite efficient shooting. He is just not shooting enough for me to expect him to approach this number.

Smart, meanwhile, is gaining more confidence offensively as the playoffs progress. He was Boston’s leading scorer in Game 6 and has scored at least 10 points in every postseason game.

Harden will need a good all-around effort if Philadelphia is to win this game and advance. While his scoring has been wildly inconsistent throughout this series, he’s averaged 7.8 rebounds on 14.2 rebound chances over his last five games.

Williams should be in Boston’s starting lineup again in Game 7, and he should easily reach this number if given starter minutes. He’s averaged 6.5 rebounds this postseason in 21.3 minutes, including five or more boards in 11 of 12 games.

Finally, Tucker has had seven or more rebounds just five times in 60 games in which he has played fewer than 30 minutes. He is also a candidate to see reduced playing time in Game 7 given Boston’s revamped starting lineup, capping off this parlay in my NBA bet of the day.

  • Tobias Harris: 6+ Rebounds (-180)
  • Jayson Tatum: 8+ Rebounds (-320)
  • P.J. Tucker: Under 4.5 Rebounds (-160)
  • Jayson Tatum: 4+ Assists (-410)

I originally had Brown’s points in my longshot parlay, but I wanted one that could remain live should he have a huge game. Feel free to adjust or alter as needed.

I addressed most of these picks and my rationale for them in the previous section, so let me touch on the ones that weren’t.

Tap into even more of our Eastern Conference Semifinals coverage:

Harris scored just two points in Game 6, but he did have six rebounds in 42 minutes. The playing time should be there, and so should the rebounds — Harris is averaging 7.5 rebounds per game during this postseason.

Tatum has at least nine rebounds and five assists in every game of this series if you exclude Game 2, when he played just 19 minutes. I expect Tatum to post solid numbers across the board again in Game 7, regardless of whether his shot is falling.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 6 Parlays Preview

In a do-or-die situation, I expect the star players to shine brightest. Such is the case with Game 6 between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers.

Because of that, I am not digging too deep when coming up with same-game parlays (SGPs) for this game. Sometimes, less is more.

Here are my favorite Celtics vs 76ers parlays for Game 6.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 6 Best Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Best SGP (+240) • Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.8 Units

  • Jayson Tatum: Over 29.5 Points (-111)
  • Joel Embiid: Over 29.5 Points (-127)

Tatum is by far the most aggressive offensive threat the Celtics have. He has taken 99 shots in this series, while the next closest — Jaylen Brown — has attempted 77.

The Celtics were in a similar scenario last season, and Tatum came through with 46 points as Boston defeated Milwaukee. I expect him to be active early offensively and try to will his team to victory.

Meanwhile, Embiid has scored 30 or more points in three straight games and looks healthier than he has been in several weeks. That may be bad news for Boston.

Embiid has not even shot particularly well from the field while putting up 30-point games. That means that he has the potential to score even more points in Game 6 with some positive regression, making this my NBA bet of the day.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 6 Longshot Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Longshot SGP (+1746) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.2 Units

  • Joel Embiid: 35+ Points (+240)
  • Jayson Tatum: 30+ Points (-120)
  • Marcus Smart: 15+ Points (+125)
  • Jayson Tatum: 8+ Rebounds (-390)

As I alluded to earlier, I think Embiid could have a monster game. He appears to be in better physical condition than he was earlier in the series, and this game could be a defining moment in his career. I expect a huge night out of the league MVP on Thursday.

I expect Tatum to try to match Embiid point-for-point. This game should be a back-and-forth affair with plenty of scoring, and I believe both players will put up plenty of shots and score in bunches.

Tatum has recorded at least 10 rebounds in eight of 11 games during the postseason. That includes every game in this series, excluding Game 2 where he played 19 minutes. I think it is safe to say he plays more than 19 minutes in Game 6, with eight rebounds appearing to be a conservative number.

Finally, Smart has scored at least 15 points in every Celtics road playoff game this season. He’s also averaging 15 shot attempts on the road during this postseason. He is not afraid of the moment, and I expect him to continue to be aggressive offensively.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 5 Parlays Preview

We turned one unit into over six with a pair of parlay picks in Game 4. I don’t know about you, dear reader, but I say we give it a go again for Game 5.

Here are two of my favorite same-game parlays for the Celtics vs 76ers Game 5 matchup.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 5 Best Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Best SGP (+217) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.8 Units

  • Jaylen Brown: 20+ Points (-340)
  • Jayson Tatum: 8+ Rebounds (-300)
  • Marcus Smart: 4+ Assists (-300)
  • Jayson Tatum: 4+ Assists (-290)

You may recognize the first two parlay legs from Game 4. These have been staples of recent builders and with good reason.

Brown has scored at least 23 points in each game of this series. Despite that, he has publicly stated that he needs to be more aggressive and demand the ball in Game 5. I believe we will see a monster game out of Brown on Tuesday.

Tatum leads Boston in rebounding in this year’s playoffs, averaging 10.6 boards per game, including 18 rebounds in Boston’s Game 4 loss. He’s notched 10 or more rebounds in seven of 10 playoff games.

Smart and Tatum have 37 and 36 potential assists in this series, respectively. The pair have each recorded at least four assists in three of their four games in this series, with the only miss being Boston’s blowout win in Game 2.

At (+217) odds, there’s enough here to make this my NBA bet of the day.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 5 Longshot Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Longshot SGP (+1754) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.2 Units

  • Joel Embiid: 30+ Points (+100)
  • Jaylen Brown: 25+ Points (+100)
  • Jayson Tatum: 10+ Rebounds (-115)
  • James Harden: 6+ Rebounds (-150)
  • Jayson Tatum: 1+ Blocks (-150)

I expect the stars to shine on both ends of the floor in Game 5. Because of that, I am featuring each team’s dynamic duos in my long-shot SGP. Feel free to alter it to your liking.

Despite playing on a bad leg, Embiid has scored at least 30 points in two straight. Philadelphia will need his scoring if they are to hang with Boston on Tuesday night.

I already pointed out that I expect Brown to have a big scoring night, and I would not be surprised to see him pace the Celtics in points in Game 5. I also discussed Tatum’s rebounding prowess during this postseason — I expect another double-digit rebounding effort out of him.

Even in games where his shot is not falling, as in Game 4, Tatum can contribute in other ways. That includes the blocked shot department, where Tatum has at least one blocked shot in seven straight playoff games, including Sunday’s four-block performance.

Harden has led his team in rebound opportunities even with Embiid back in the fold over the last three games. In that time, Harden has 45 rebound chances. If he is afforded that volume in Game 5, he would only need to snag 40% of his chances to surpass this number.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 4 Parlays Preview

Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal series between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers should provide plenty of parlay opportunities.

Here are two of my favorite same-game parlays for the Celtics vs 76ers Game 4 matchup.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 4 Best Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Best SGP (+232) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.8 Units

  • Jaylen Brown: 20+ Points (-350)
  • Marcus Smart: 10+ Points (-250)
  • Jayson Tatum: 8+ Rebounds (-240)
  • James Harden: 4+ Rebounds (-470)

Brown has scored at least 23 points in each game of this series, despite the fact that he’s only averaging 15 shot attempts per game through three. I expect another efficient outing from Brown in Game 4.

Smart has scored in double figures for Boston in 14 straight games dating back to the regular season. He attempted 10.5 shots per game on the road during the regular season, but during the playoffs, he averages 15 shot attempts and 20 points per game away from home.

Tatum leads Boston in rebounding in this year’s playoffs, logging at least seven rebounds in each, with 10 or more rebounds in six of nine games. His only miss in this series came in Game 2, in which he played just 19 minutes because of foul trouble.

Finally, Harden has recorded 16 total rebounds in the last two games. During that stretch, he leads all players in the series in potential rebounds, averaging 15 per game.

If he gets anywhere near that number of chances, he should be a virtual lock to grab four or more rebounds, rounding out my NBA bet of the day.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 4 Longshot Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Longshot SGP (+1776) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.2 Units

  • Marcus Smart: 15+ Points (+170)
  • Jayson Tatum: Over 9.5 Rebounds (+102)
  • James Harden: 6+ Rebounds (-125)
  • Jaylen Brown: 4+ Assists (-110)

I always try to include some of my “safer" plays in my longshot same-game parlay, with a little bit of variance sprinkled in. The first three legs of my longshot SGP are rooted in plays I discussed earlier, so I will not harp too much on them.

Brown is tied for the team lead in potential assists over the last two games, with 17 total. There is a fair amount of correlation between Brown’s assists and Smart’s points, so if Smart is more aggressive offensively — as is often the case in road games — Brown may be the one facilitating the offense.

Besides, how can you not play a parlay with odds of (+1776) in a game that features Boston and Philadelphia? If that is not poetic, I do not know what is.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 3 Parlays Preview

The Boston Celtics travel down I-95 to face the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal matchup Friday night. Each team has players who should step up in what could be a pivotal game in this series.

Here are two of my favorite SGPs for the Celtics vs 76ers Game 3 matchup.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 3 Best Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Best SGP (+217) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.8 Units

  • Jaylen Brown: 25+ Points (-145)
  • Jayson Tatum: 8+ Rebounds (-240)
  • Jayson Tatum: 4+ Assists (-280)

Brown has had an incredibly efficient first two games for Boston, scoring a total of 48 points on just 27 field goal attempts. I expect Boston to ensure that he remains a focal point of their offense in Game 3.

Meanwhile, Tatum scored just seven points in Game 2 as a result of some early fouls and the game devolving into a blowout. Though he played just 19 minutes, he still racked up seven rebounds and three assists, and he notched 11 boards and five dimes in Game 1.

Given a full allotment of minutes in Game 3, I believe Tatum will approach his Game 1 totals in both rebounds and assists. He averaged 9.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists versus Philadelphia during the regular season.

At (+217) odds, the value here is too great to pass up as my NBA bet of the day.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 3 Longshot Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Longshot SGP (+1301) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.2 Units

  • Jayson Tatum: 10+ Rebounds (+100)
  • Tobias Harris: 6+ Rebounds (-145)
  • James Harden: 6+ Rebounds (-110)
  • Derrick White: Under 2.5 Assists (+136)

I just mentioned that Tatum averaged 9.8 rebounds against the Sixers during the regular season. He is averaging 9.0 rebounds in the series but in just 31.5 minutes. He should be in for all the work he can handle in Game 3, so I like the chances of him posting double-digit rebounds.

My inclusion of Harris and Harden is based mostly on what we saw from Embiid in Game 2. The newly-crowned MVP played, but he is not 100% physically. He grabbed just three rebounds in 27 minutes on Wednesday.

The 76ers do not have great depth in their frontcourt, so they will need Harris and Harden to attack the glass as they did in Game 2, combining for 17 rebounds in 65 minutes in the blowout. Both players should approach 40 minutes in Game 3, which would likely lead to a high number of rebound chances.

White has had a subpar series to this point. He has been outplayed and outshined by Malcolm Brogdon in each of the first two games of this series.

White averaged 34.3 minutes in the final three regular-season meetings with Philadelphia, but that number has dropped to 28.5 in this series, as Brogdon and Grant Williams have played well off the bench.

White only has seven total potential assists in this series, resulting in four total assists. I would not be surprised to see him register two or fewer assists in Game 3.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 2 Parlays Preview

Game 2 between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers features two teams who have struggled defensively recently. This game could be one where some same-game parlays (SGPs) turn a sizable profit.

Here are two of my favorite SGPs for the Celtics vs 76ers Game 2 matchup.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 2 Best Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Best SGP (+249) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.75 Units

  • Jaylen Brown: 20+ Points (-420)
  • James Harden: 20+ Points (-360)
  • Tyrese Maxey: 20+ Points (-290)
  • Tobias Harris: 15+ Points (-190)

My first SGP for Game 2 focuses strictly on points. Brown scored 23 in Game 1 despite taking only 10 shot attempts, and he averages over 20 field goal attempts when playing 40 or more minutes this season. He should be a focal point of Boston’s offensive attack.

Harden was the man for Philadelphia in Game 1, scoring 45 and hitting the game-winning three-pointer. I expect Boston to adjust the way it defends him, but as long as Harden is aggressive, he should at least score 20 in this game even with some regression baked in.

Maxey logged 26 points in Game 1 and continues to shine when Joel Embiid is out of the lineup. During the regular season, Maxey scored 25 or more points in nine of 10 games with the star big man out.

Harris often goes overlooked, but the veteran has made solid contributions when Embiid does not play. During the regular season, he had 15 or more points in 12 of 14 games in which Embiid was out, with the two misses coming in games in which he played less than 30 minutes.

At (+249) odds, the value is there to make this my NBA bet of the day.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 2 Longshot Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Longshot SGP (+1123) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.25 Units

  • Jaylen Brown: 25+ Points (-120)
  • Tyrese Maxey: 25+ Points (+105)
  • Jayson Tatum: 10+ Rebounds (-105)
  • Jayson Tatum: Over 4.5 Assists (-115)

I ran an SGP for Game 1 that came in at (+1103). Three of the four legs hit. The only one that did not was Tatum to have six or more assists. He landed on five.

Lesson learned.

I do think Tatum can get to six dimes in Game 2. He should be looking to pass more after taking 25 shots, while Brown managed just 10 attempts. Still, I don’t want to catch the hook again, so I’m playing it a bit safer with five assists.

I also expect Tatum to continue to dominate the glass. He finished with 11 rebounds last game, which is especially impressive considering both teams combined for just 66 boards.

As I outlined above, I believe big games are also in store for Brown and Maxey in Game 2. I would not be shocked to see either or both players lead their respective teams in scoring in this game.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 1 Parlays Preview

The Celtics and 76ers will clash in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup on Monday night.

As division rivals, these teams are very familiar with one another. The expected absence of Joel Embiid will be a major storyline, but this game still features plenty of star power.

There are a few players I expect to have big games on Monday. I have created a couple of Celtics vs 76ers parlays featuring the ones I expect to make their marks in Game 1.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 1 Best Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Best SGP (+295) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.75 Units

  • Jayson Tatum: 8+ Rebounds (-200)
  • Jayson Tatum: 4+ Assists (-220)
  • James Harden: 2+ Three-Pointers Made (-420)
  • Marcus Smart: 10+ Points (-190)

The 76ers have done a great job limiting Tatum this season, holding him to an average of just 21 points per game. That number is well below his season average of 30.1, but Tatum has affected the outcome of games in other ways against Philadelphia.

Over the last two seasons, Tatum is averaging 10.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game in eight games against the 76ers, registering at least eight rebounds in seven of those contests and four assists in the same number of games.

Harden will have to carry the load offensively with Embiid likely missing this matchup. Harden played off Embiid beautifully during the season series with the Celtics, averaging 25.5 points per game.

However, the Celtics have two outstanding perimeter defenders in Smart and Derrick White, and I question Harden’s ability to blow by either man and get to the rim.

If Harden gets frustrated, I can see him settling for a lot of long-distance attempts in this game, which plays right into Boston’s hands. They’ll dare Harden to shoot threes, knowing that they will have a rebounding advantage should he miss.

Finally, I have Smart scoring at least 10 points in Game 1. He’s surpassed this number in all three matchups with Philadelphia this season, and he also enters this series on a bit of a hot streak.

Dating back to the regular season, Smart has scored in double digits in 11 consecutive games. Smart also averaged 16.7 points on 49.3% shooting against the Hawks in Boston’s last series.

Smart will not hesitate to let it fly, and Boston has shooters all over the floor. Philadelphia’s defense is hampered without Embiid there to anchor it, which should leave shooters open throughout this game.

Smart will get enough chances and knock down enough shots to score at least 10 points in Game 1, capping off my best same-game parlay and NBA bet of the day.

Celtics vs 76ers Game 1 Longshot Same-Game Parlay

Celtics vs 76ers Longshot SGP (+1103) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.25 Units

  • Jayson Tatum: 10+ Rebounds (+115)
  • Jayson Tatum: 6+ Assists (+200)
  • James Harden: 20+ Points (-220)
  • James Harden: 3+ Three-Pointers Made (-125)

This parlay features most of the same plays as the one above, but I switched out Smart points for Harden points.

I did this because I want a scenario in which both SGPs can be alive. If Smart doesn’t look for his shot or sees reduced minutes, this longshot SGP still has a chance of cashing.

Tatum has recorded at least 11 rebounds in five of the eight games he has played against Philadelphia since the beginning of last season. Without Embiid to battle on the boards, I can see him having another big game on the glass in Game 1.

I also expect him to continue to facilitate Boston’s offense. In those same eight games, Tatum has registered at least six assists five times. That includes each of the last three matchups, all of which have occurred over the last 90 days.

Harden has attempted at least seven three-pointers in 36 games this season. He has made at least three of them in 29 of 36. Harden has also scored at least 20 points in 29 of those 36 games.

Even if he is slightly less efficient with Embiid out of action, I am betting on Harden getting enough volume in Game 1 to make this SGP a part of my portfolio.
