Premier League Best Bets Matchweek 31

Last Updated: Apr 13, 2023

The Premier League season is drawing to a close with a two-team race at the top between Manchester City and Arsenal.

However, the more exciting race to watch may be the one to avoid relegation. In addition to Southampton, Leicester City, and Nottingham Forest, six additional clubs sit within six points of the relegation zone.

Let’s dig into the EPL fixtures for Matchweek 31 and determine our best bets.

Premier League Matchweek 31 Predictions

Premier League Odds used below are current as of Thursday, April 13, at 5 p.m. ET, and courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook.

Everton vs Fulham Best Bet

Everton Wins (+105) | BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Cottagers have been playing without much fire in recent weeks, with seemingly nothing to play for. Fulham is firmly entrenched in no man’s land as the Premier League season draws closer to the finish line. They are safe from relegation but unlikely to secure a spot in European football next season.

Furthermore, Fulham is still without their star striker Aleksandar Mitrović, who is suspended until Matchweek 36.

This is all good news for Everton, who are fighting for their EPL lives in 17th position. In fact, the Toffees only remain clear of the relegation zone due to a tiebreaker over Nottingham Forest.

Fulham have lost four straight after an unsettling 1-0 defeat at home last week to West Ham. Meanwhile, Everton have performed better at home this season, securing five of their six victories at Goodison Park.

Look for Sean Dyche and Everton to pull out all the stops against a Fulham side going through the motions.

Manchester City vs Leicester City Best Bet

Manchester City Cover -2 (+105) | BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Leicester City, like Everton, are fighting to avoid relegation. But, unfortunately, they are squaring off against a Man City club that still has its eye on the Premier League title.

The Sky Blues are six points behind Arsenal and will be doing everything possible to secure three points from the Foxes this weekend. Manchester City boasts a plus-33 goal differential at home this season, while Leicester City carries a minus-nine while on the road.

Look for Erling Haaland to continue his historic goal-scoring pace, as the Norwegian striker sits at 30 goals in just 27 matches played in the EPL.

There is not much Dean Smith can do to fend off Pep Guardiola‘s machine.

Leeds United vs Liverpool Best Bet

Both Teams to Score (-175) | BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Javi Garcia has done a solid job of making Leeds United perform at a higher level since taking over for Jesse Marsch. At least, it seemed that way before Crystal Palace destroyed the Whites at home 5-1.

They will get another chance to prove themselves against a Reds squad that has shared its own struggles this season. In fact, Liverpool are winless in their last four.

I find it difficult to choose a winner in this contest, with Liverpool being a much stronger home side (+25) than away (-10). However, I anticipate each club reaching the back of net, with the Reds conceding 24 of their 35 goals away from Anfield.

Premier League Matchweek 31 Parlay

  • Arsenal Wins (at West Ham)
  • Man City -2 (vs Leicester City)
  • Everton Wins (vs Fulham)
  • Newcastle Wins (at Aston Villa)

(+1286) | BetMGM Sportsbook

Premier League Matchweek 31 Parlay

In addition to the Man City and Everton wagers from above, I expect the Gunners to keep pace ahead of the Sky Blues with a victory over West Ham this weekend.

I also love the Magpies this weekend to defeat Aston Villa on the road. Newcastle is the strongest defensive unit in the Premier League this season, with just 21 goals conceded through 29 matches. So look for Eddie Howe‘s side to pick up a clean sheet this weekend.
