Travon Walker has been selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. The Jaguars were said to be considering multiple players in this spot and they elected to go with an edge rusher to bolster their pass-rushing unit instead of an offensive lineman.
Travon Walker NFL Draft Outlook
Walker should immediately join the starting lineup for the Jaguars alongside Josh Allen, who recently had his fifth-year option picked up. The Georgia product brings more in the pass-rushing department than K’Lavon Chaisson, so there shouldn’t be much discussion on him starting.

There is certainly upside for Walker after having a productive year with Georgia en route to a national title in 2021.
Travon Walker Fantasy Football IDP Tips
With the Jaguars, Walker becomes a viable defensive player in IDP leagues. He should see the field often to begin his career, allowing him to benefit from having Allen on the opposite side of the field.
If Walker can unleash a sliver of his potential in 2022, he could be a DROY candidate.
