Kayvon Thibodeaux Scouting Report & Fantasy Football Outlook

Last Updated: Apr 28, 2022

Even though the New York Giants were expected to address offensive tackle with the fourth overall selection, they have selected Kayvon Thibodeaux out of Oregon.

Thibodeaux is an explosive edge rusher that the Giants likely didn’t expect to be available, but with Travon Walker and Aidan Hutchinson being selected with the first two picks, Thibodeaux became the best edge rusher available.

Kayvon Thibodeaux NFL Draft Outlook

There were concerns that Thibodeaux could fall in the draft, only for the Giants to address their defensive front by selecting the Oregon product. After taking Azeez Ojulari in the second round of last year’s draft, New York is looking to bolster their pass rush even more in 2022 and beyond.

Thibodeaux should become an immediate starter for the Giants opposite Ojulari, with Quincy Roche and Oshane Ximines also rotating in.

Kayvon Thibodeaux Fantasy Football IDP Tips

Considering that Thibodeaux should see the field often, he could be worth a look in deeper IDP leagues. Thibodeaux is a fantastic run defender and an explosive pass rusher, so tackles shouldn’t be an issue for the young sack artist.

While Thibodeaux doesn’t join an elite pass-rushing unit, the Giants have the potential of having a much-improved group in 2022, making Thibodeaux an intriguing option in IDP leagues.
