A.J. Brown was traded from the Tennessee Titans to the Philadelphia Eagles during the NFL Draft, where he’ll step right into his new team’s alpha WR1 role.
After establishing himself as a superstar wideout with Tennessee, Brown should continue to command targets in Philadelphia. Brown put up a 27% target share last season, so you can expect him to lead the Eagles in targets in 2022 assuming he stays healthy.

Thanks to his impressive volume, Brown has finished as WR30, WR6, and WR26 in each of his three seasons. He’s also scored 24 touchdowns in 43 games throughout his career, cementing himself as one of the top red-zone threats in the NFL.

This is a perfect fit in Philly because Brown can make a major splash after the catch, which aligns with quarterback Jalen Hurts’s skillset. Hurts can scramble and check it down for Brown, allowing for his stud wideout to go to work and rack up the YAC.
I view this as an upgrade for Brown’s fantasy outlook because Hurts is an ascending quarterback who still has room for improvement, whereas Ryan Tannehill appears to be in decline. We can expect Philadelphia to pass at a higher rate as well, since they have much better weapons than Tennessee and don’t have Derrick Henry in the backfield.
Consider Brown an elite WR1.
