Merry Christmas, NBA fans! The NBA Christmas Day DFS slate is my favorite of the year. It’s always filled with intriguing matchups.
This year, we’ve got five games to choose from, including the Sixers-Knicks, Lakers-Mavs, Bucks-Celtics, Grizzlies-Warriors, and Suns-Nuggets.
In this article, we’re going to focus on Jock MKT, where players can see their stock price rise or fall depending on what happens in the game.
While the prices are not yet available as of Dec. 23, we’re going to be targeting under-the-radar players who could see an increase in value.
With that in mind, let’s dive right into the daily fantasy basketball Christmas Day slate.
Jock MKT NBA Christmas Picks
Thomas Bryant, Center, Los Angeles Lakers
Bryant has been terrific while filling in for the injured Anthony Davis, averaging 17.5 points and 7.8 rebounds in his last four games.
We can project 25+ minutes against the Mavs. There’s a good chance that Bryant approaches a double-double in this one.
James Wiseman, Center, Golden State Warriors
Wiseman is coming off a breakout game against the Nets, where he put up 30 points and six rebounds in 27 minutes. He shot 12-of-14 from the field and added a three as well.
The Warriors are dealing with injuries right now as Steph Curry is out, while Andrew Wiggins is a game-time decision.
Moses Moody, Guard, Golden State Warriors
Moody is another Warrior to target in light of their injury issues. He dropped 17 points against the Nets, knocking down three from beyond the arc.
While it’s a tough matchup against the Grizzlies, Moody has scored in double figures in consecutive games, playing 30+ minutes in each one.
Landry Shamet, Guard, Phoenix Suns
Shamet had a big game against the Wizards, going off for 31 points while knocking down an impressive nine threes.
Devin Booker has a chance to miss this game, which would allow Shamet to see increased playing time off the bench.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Guard, Denver Nuggets
Caldwell-Pope has scored in double figures in four of his last five games, including 20 points against the Hornets on Dec. 18th.
He’s always a threat from beyond the arc and should continue to eclipse 30 minutes of playing time, especially if Jamal Murray is out for this game.
Bruce Brown, Guard, Denver Nuggets
Brown has really stepped up in Murray’s absence, dropping 16 points with five rebounds and four assists in his last game.
If Murray is out again, Brown would continue to see increased usage, giving him more opportunities to rack up points, rebounds, and assists.
MarJon Beauchamp, Forward, Milwaukee Bucks
Beauchamp has scored in double figures in three of his last four games, averaging 2.5 threes per game during that span.
While he’s unlikely to see more than 20 minutes in this one, he’s worth a look for his cheap price. You just have to hope that he gets hot from beyond the arc.
Jock MKT NBA Christmas: Strategies
- Target under-the-radar players who will see increased minutes and usage due to injuries.
- If you’re targeting a star with a high price, be sure to pick one with a great matchup that gives them an opportunity to see a bump in value.
- Focusing on players with cheaper prices can give you a chance at a better return on investment.
