Borgata Sportsbook Review

EDITOR'S OPINION

Borgata Sportsbook offers a fantastic sports betting service that is user-friendly with all the standard wagering options, including Same Game Parlays. They also have a live streaming feature. Borgata has a very good reputation, but their customer service options can be improved, as well as the need to have the sportsbook, casino, and poker site all on one app.

Borgata Sportsbook Hands-on Review

Borgata launched its sportsbook in May of 2019 and was the 14th online sportsbook in New Jersey since the state legalized sports betting. While they were late to the party, the sportsbook’s reputable brand didn’t take long to be recognized as a premier sportsbook in the industry.

The sportsbook is only legal in New Jersey and is operated by GVC Holdings which has a partnership with Borgata AC. The sportsbook will soon launch in Pennsylvania, however, and we will update you here when it does.

As stated earlier, Borgata was established as a casino in November of 2013, so the sportsbook for Borgata had a strong foundation at the start. They already had loyal customers before the sportsbook was even announced.

They have a website and mobile apps for iPhone and Android devices. Once logged in, both are easy to use, especially for making wagers.

While there’s a lot going on throughout the Borgata site, it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. On the top toolbar, Borgata has a long list of sports that you can click on to find the wager you’re looking for.

The top sports that are being bet on are also labeled toward the left side of the page and provide odds boosts and other interesting options to lure bettors in on popular bets by the public.

Borgata also offers One Game Parlays (Same Game Parlays), which allows you to bet a parlay (multiple bets) for a single game.

One thing you will quickly recognize is that Borgata doesn’t provide too many stats for sports bettors to use before their wagers. Some sites like DraftKings, for example, provide quick and easy trends to help sports bettors make their decisions. Instead, Borgata is simple and while they have got a terrific platform, helping their users be more comfortable with a bet would be a nice addition.

Is Borgata Sportsbook Legit?

Yes, Borgata is a legitimate sportsbook. The company has been around since 2013 and even has its own casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Like all legal sportsbooks in the state, they are regulated by the NJDGE.

Can You Win Real Money Playing at Borgata Sportsbook?

Yes, you can win real money at Borgata Sportsbook, but you can only wager for real money while being located in New Jersey.

Bet & Get

Borgata Sportsbook offers an easy-to-achieve Bet & Get welcome bonus. New signups are paid out with $100 free bets when they bet $20. How it works is simple.

  1. Click on one of our “Get Bonus” or “Claim Now” buttons and be redirected to the Borgata website where you can sign up and deposit.
  2. Then, download the Borgata Sports app on iOS or Android.
  3. Place a $20 wager on any sport with minimum odds of -200 or greater.
  4. Receive a total of $100 in free bets after successfully placing your first bet.
    • Free bets will be broken down into ten $10 bets.
    • You have seven days to use the free bet.

Read more about the Borgata bonus and please read all terms and conditions.

Borgata Sportsbook Promotions

Borgata has plenty of promotions, but many of their promotions are for the casino and poker games, and not nearly as much for their sportsbook. One promotion that stands out, however, is Borgata’s Multi-Sport Parlay Bonus.

Multi-Sport Parlay Bonus

Borgata seems to tailor promotions based on the customer and their recent history. For sports bettors like myself, they’ve introduced the Multi-Sport Parlay Boost where a bettor is rewarded with up to 40 percent more in profits on winning parlays.

To get this promotion, you must opt-in on the promotion page and place a combination of 4-7 leg parlay with any combination of sports.

  • Place & win a 4-leg parlay: Earn an extra 15% profit boost in free bets
  • Place & win a 5-leg parlay: Earn an extra 20% profit boost in free bets
  • Place & win a 6-leg parlay: Earn an extra 30% profit boost in free bets
  • Place & win a 7-leg parlay: Earn an extra 40% profit boost in free bets

Unfortunately, this is the only promotion that is being pushed right now for existing customers at the Borgata Online Sportsbook.

My Borgata Sportsbook App Experience

Borgata is available on mobile and if you’re looking for the sportsbook, you need to download the Borgata Sports app. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t have the casino, poker and sports all in one. You need to do everything separately.

Just like the desktop version, the app is very easy to navigate and you can find whatever you’re looking for with ease. The app has a familiar feel to the desktop version.

There is a search tab you can use for a wager, but at first glance, you might miss the icon. Most will navigate the site by clicking on the sport, league, and game that you’re looking to bet on.

The lines available on the site are up to par with other sports betting sites. When placing a bet, users click on the wager they’re looking to place and it’ll get added to the Borgata bet slip toward the bottom of the app. From there, you would click on the bet slip and place how much money you’re looking to wager before submitting.

In the bet slip, the default is a $50 wager, so keep that in mind when filling out your bets.

On the app, you can also choose to parlay multiple games and they give you an option to do round robins if that’s the direction you want to go.

Borgata is now fully integrated as an MGM Resorts destination so, with that, you will see a similar design between Borgata and BetMGM. However, BetMGM has done a much better job marketing its site and put more work into its sports betting platform.

If Borgata’s app issued the same promotions as BetMGM, they would have plenty more loyal users on their site when it comes to sports betting. Currently, they lack solid promotions to lure customers to sports bet.

Should You Bet at Borgata Sportsbook?

Borgata is a reputable sportsbook that can likely do so much better. It’s impossible to get customer service help in the sportsbook and they don’t have any number or email listed on the site. Instead, they take you to a FAQ page that doesn’t always lead to where you need to go.

If you’re wagering a large sum of money and there’s a mistake with how the bet is graded, it seems like it’ll be really hard to reach out and get the wager corrected.

The site is easy to navigate and they have all the potential wagers you could ever want. However, they should invest in more promotions to keep their players coming back.

It’s awesome that they give bettors a chance at building a One Game Parlay (Same Game Parlay), where you can wager more than one bet in a single parlay.

Borgata does everything that BetMGM does, but BetMGM is currently doing it better. Borgata may have better casino and poker options, however. From research, the online poker tables can get crowded at certain times per day.

Borgata is a viable option to add to your sportsbook collection, but they aren’t in my top echelon of sports betting sites at this time.

How To Join Borgata Sportsbook

Joining Borgata Sportsbook is quick and easy:

  1. While on The Game Day, you will see a “Claim Now” or “Get Bonus” button. Click it to activate the welcome bonus and be automatically taken to BetMGM.
  2. Next, you’ll see a “Register Now”. Once you click the “Register Now” button, you will be prompted to fill out all the relevant information you’d need at any other sportsbook, such as email, name, address, last four digits of SSN, DOB, etc).
  3. Deposit and start betting! It’s that easy!

Rewards System

Borgata has the same loyalty program as BetMGM, called M life Rewards.

With M life Rewards, you will get exclusive benefits at MGM Resorts nationwide. Per the Borgata website, “sports wagers will award iRPs and Tier Credits earnings based on the odds selection, type of bet, and wager amount.”

There are five M life Rewards tiers (Sapphire, Pearl, Gold, Platinum, Noir). The more credits you earn, the higher tier you can achieve.

Customer Service

It is a bit tricky to find customer support on the Borgata page. You won’t find a tab to click for customer service on the main page. Instead, you have to click on “My Account” once you’re logged in and click the Support button in the drop-down menu.

Once you click “Support,” there is another drop-down menu that reads FAQ, Search Help, and Upload Documents. The FAQ Section sometimes doesn’t have the answers to your questions.

Just like MGM, when I click on the 24/7 Customer Service “contact us” tab, it redirects me back to that FAQs section and the help center.

I googled Borgata Sportsbook’s contact number and couldn’t find one for the sportsbook after 30 minutes of searching. After a long pause, the answering machine said that their phone support was not available at the moment.

I also found this email: support@Borgatasports.com but have not heard back from them.
