Blanton scored against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Rams’ 30-27 win in the Divisional Playoffs, and is coming off a five-catch, 57-yard outburst in the NFC Championship Game. Safe to say he’s gained the trust of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in Higbee’s absence.

The Bengals allowed eight touchdowns to tight ends, the sixth-most allowed during the regular season, and Travis Kelce and a score in Cincinnati’s AFC Championship Game win at Arrowhead Stadium.

Each of these stats makes this NFL bet of the day worthwhile.

Cincinnati allowed the seventh-most receiving yards (1,083) to tight ends during the regular season and surrendered 95 yards to Kelce during its AFC Championship Game win in KC.

A Rams tight end has surpassed 40 yards in each of Los Angeles’ past seven games, including Blanton’s 57-yard outburst in the NFC Championship Game.

With blanket coverage likely for star receivers Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr., expect the sure-handed 6-foot-6, 262-pound tight end to get targeted, especially if LA’s offensive line can protect Stafford without needing to keep Blanton in to pass block.

This makes Blanton hitting the Over on his receiving yards a solid bet.
