Steelers vs Chiefs Same Game Parlay | NFL Playoffs Parlay Bets

Last Updated: Jan 13, 2022

NFL Wild Card Weekend is here, with the Pittsburgh Steelers traveling to Kansas City to face the red hot Chiefs on Sunday night.

The Steelers were able to sneak into the playoffs following a come-from-behind win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18, thanks to the Jacksonville Jaguars taking down the Indianapolis Colts. They also needed no tie in the Raiders-Chargers game and just barely got that as well.

Pittsburgh may seem like a team that doesn’t deserve to be here, but it won three of its last four games to get in. If the Colts couldn’t take down the lowly Jaguars, then they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

The Chiefs won the AFC West with a 12-5 record, which was good enough for the No. 2 seed in the AFC. They won nine of their last 10 games after starting out 3-4, and look like the favorite to come out of the conference.

Two weeks ago, the Chiefs smacked the Steelers around 36-10 in a game that was over by halftime. We should get a much more competitive game this time around, and that makes it an intriguing game to put together a Same Game Parlay for.

Over on BetMGM, they have a one-game parlay where you can piece together various events into one bet. Keep reading below to get my favorite bet picks for a one-game parlay ahead of Sunday’s showdown between the Steelers and Chiefs.

Please note that all NFL gameday odds and lines are current as of 2 PM EST on Wednesday, January 12.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs Same-Game Parlay Best Bets

Best Bet: Steelers +12.5 (-110) at BetMGM

The Steelers are currently an underdog by almost 13 points on Caesars, which is quite a lot.

I know the Steelers got blown to oblivion in the last matchup, but they don’t lose like that to a team two times in a row. Head coach Mike Tomlin will make the necessary adjustments and have his team ready to play.

Now, does that mean the Steelers are going to win? I personally doubt it. The Chiefs come in with a better team on both sides of the ball. They’re firing on all cylinders, especially on offense.

Pittsburgh’s offense has struggled this season, averaging just 20 points per game. That’s towards the bottom of the league and won’t be good enough going up against Patrick Mahomes and Co.

That said, the Steelers’ defense has played much better since that game against the Chiefs and should do enough here to cover. I’m confident they can keep this spread below 12.5 points, even if their offense is a bit stagnant.

Best Bet: Over 46.5 Total Points (-110) at BetMGM

Offensively, the Chiefs have been on a roll lately. They’ve scored 28+ points in their last five games, and 30+ in four of those contests.

The Chiefs should have no issue recording 30+ points again this Sunday, just like they did a few weeks ago against the Steelers. I also don’t need to remind everyone that Kansas City didn’t even have Travis Kelce in that matchup. It mattered little as the Chiefs still won by 26 due to all their other weapons.

Even though we won’t need much from the Steelers, they still have some explosive players on offense. Najee Harris was top five among running backs in rushing yards this season and has turned it on the last couple of weeks. They also have Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and Pat Freiermuth who can do damage in the passing game.

Remember, the Steelers didn’t have Freiermuth in their last meeting and it cost them dearly.

I’m more than confident this Over should hit for our NFL bet of the day, especially with how the Chiefs offense has been humming.

Best Bet: Steelers Over 18.5 Points (-110) at BetMGM

I think the Steelers will lose, but I can still see them scoring a decent number of points. Sure, Ben Roethlisberger hasn’t played well on the road this year, but this is likely the last game of his NFL career, so he’s going to want to go out swinging.

I’ll side with the Steelers Over of 18.5 points. Throughout the regular season, Pittsburgh notched at least 19 points in nine of their 17 games, so a little over half the time.

The Steelers have scored at least 19 points in three of their last five games, and with some extra weapons on offense back, I like this bet as an easy one to add to the parlay.

Best Bet: Travis Kelce Anytime TD Scorer at BetMGM

While the Steelers’ defense may play well early against the Chiefs’ offense, it probably won’t last for long. Pittsburgh has been creamed numerous times in the past from tight ends in the playoffs, and history could repeat itself here.

With Travis Kelce back in the fold, that creates a big mismatch for the Steelers’ defense. He’s the security blanket for Mahomes and can run any route in the book.

The Steelers’ pass defense has played better of late, but Kelce should see more than a few goal-to-go situations where he can score.

Kelce was tied for the team lead in touchdowns this season with nine and was also second in receiving yards. Look for him to get at least one in this matchup.

Final odds: +525 at BetMGM
