NFL Week 9 Prop Bets | Best NFL Prop Predictions & Picks Today

Last Updated: Nov 6, 2021

Another week of football, another week of winning.

For the second consecutive week, I went 5-3 with my NFL prop bets. For those unwilling to do the simple math, I am here for you.

We are 10-6 in the last two weeks, and momentum is building.

I was all over Indianapolis against Tennessee, and Carson Wentz’s meltdown didn’t derail a 2-0 betting performance. I’m also proud of betting the Saints to reach 10 points before the Buccaneers. The fact that it cashed, despite seeing Jameis Winston go down, is a solid win.

All told, we picked our spots quite well, and even the misses were close.

As for this week, we have to start with the Cleveland Browns at the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite the Browns’ struggles, this will be must-see television.

Of course, I have prop bets for this, although it’s not the only game.

Here are my best NFL Week 9 prop bets. Please note that all odds and lines are current as of 2 PM EST on Wednesday, November 3.

NFL Week 9 Best Prop Bets

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals

Baker Mayfield is not healthy. That much is clear when watching the quarterback of the Cleveland Browns play. Add in a bit of trade deadline drama surrounding Odell Beckham Jr., specifically what his father thinks of his son’s current situation, and we have ourselves a bit of mid-season chaos.

On the other side, the Bengals just allowed New York Jets QB Mike White to throw for more than 400 yards. Although the officials didn’t help Cincinnati at the end of that game, a loss as a double-digit favorite to a team that just lost by roughly 769 points to the Patriots is somewhat suboptimal.

We have drama on both sides, which isn’t a bad thing, and I don’t think we’re done.

Cincinnati Bengals 1st to 10 Points (-130) at BetMGM

Wager: 1 Unit

I’m going to chalk up the Jets loss as a mulligan of sorts. At the very least, I believe the Cincinnati offense will respond in a big way against a team dealing with injuries and issues on offense.

Both Teams to Score 20+ Points (+110) at BetMGM

Wager: 1 Unit

Although the Browns’ offense has issues, it should still succeed against a Bengals’ defense that was just exposed some. I like the Bengals to win, but the Browns find the endzone enough.

Los Angeles Chargers at Philadelphia Eagles

What the heck has happened with Justin Herbert?

Granted, I am not ready to jump off the bandwagon. The young QB still has a remarkable amount of upside. But in the past two games, Herbert has barely completed 50 percent of his throws while throwing three touchdowns and three interceptions. The Chargers are a predictable 0-2 in those games.

After losing two straight, the Eagles demolished the Lions last weekend. I bet Detroit, by the way. And I am deeply ashamed of myself.

Amid the losses, Philadelphia has actually covered the spread in three of the past four games. And after spending much of the past month on the road, home-field could serve this team quite well. At the very least, the offense should put up a fight.

Philadelphia Eagles Over 2.5 Total Touchdowns (-130) at DraftKings

Wager: 1 Unit

Beyond Herbert’s recent struggles, we’ve seen the Chargers’ defense have its own issues of late. The Eagles capitalize with a handful of touchdowns, and by handful, I mean at least three.

Both Teams to Score 20+ Points (-150) at BetMGM

Wager: 1 Unit

While the offense in Los Angeles has been stagnant, it won’t last forever. This has a chance to be a bit of a shootout and one of the more enjoyable games all weekend.

New England Patriots at Carolina Panthers

The return of Christian McCaffrey from IR is, of course, a game-changer. Unfortunately, the Panthers’ offense just hasn’t been the same with the star running back on the sideline, which is to be expected.

How much McCaffrey improves a struggling offense is still to be determined. Sam Darnold is working his way back from concussion protocol, which is something to monitor. And after a hot start, this team has really floundered.

The Patriots, on the other hand, seem to be hitting stride. Mac Jones has been consistent over the course of the year. While he’s not a statistical monster, he is guiding this offense to wins and points.

Also, New England has played really well on the road this year. There is no reason that shouldn’t continue.

New England Patriots Over 22.5 Points (-125) at DraftKings

Wager: 1 Unit

The Pats keep the momentum going. Even with the return of Carolina’s star back, New England finds a way to manufacture enough points.

New England Patriots Over 10.5 First Half Points (-115) at DraftKings

Wager: 1 Unit

I’ll take the theme above a step further. New England will need to score points, and I believe the Pats will do just that.

Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers

If you like lots of points and touchdowns and football explosions, you might want to explore other football games.

Granted, it’s Monday Night Football, and you don’t have much of a choice. But, I’m just warning you. With a total hovering around 40 points, things could be a bit of a slog.

The glimpses we saw of Bears QB Justin Fields last week were anything but a slog. We saw the electricity that jumped off the screen at Ohio State at this level, especially on his touchdown run that looked like it came out of a videogame.

Still, Chicago lost to San Francisco at home. It was the team’s third defeat in a row.

Despite the seemingly endless declarations of Pittsburgh’s demise, the Steelers have won three consecutive games. The latest, an ugly 15-10 win over Cleveland, was also the most impressive.

The offense has yet to score 30 points this season and has hit 20 points only three times.

I don’t expect this game to be much different from either team.

Steelers Moneyline & Both Teams Score 10+ Points (-120) at BetMGM

Wager: 1 Unit

Both defenses are excellent, although there’s enough offensive talent on the field to generate just enough points necessary. That said, I think Fields could still produce enough mistakes to give the Steelers the win.

1st Touchdown Under 8.5 Yards (-110) at DraftKings

Wager: 1 Unit

Meat grinder. That’s what I think about when I look at this football game. Unless Fields pulls some wizardry like what we saw last week, which I suppose is possible, I envision the first score coming from inside the five-yard line.
