With fewer teams on bye for NFL Week 8 we have more players to choose from in NFL Daily Fantasy Sports this week. If you’re looking for a way to combine the fun of betting and fantasy, PrizePicks may be the perfect site for you.
Unlike the typical salary cap lineup construction format that most DFS sites follow, PrizePicks has users build their own parlays by selecting Over or Under on up to five specific player props instead. The more props you select, the higher the multiplier on the entry fee.
Another plus about PrizePicks is their Flex Play option, which allows users to win even with missed picks, though it lowers the potential payout for perfect picks.
Now that you understand how PrizePicks works, let’s get into the DFS football predictions series for Week 8!
Stat information for NFL DFS Week 8 picks is current as of Friday, October 29, at 3 p.m. EST.

NFL DFS Week 8: Single-Stat Daily Fantasy Sports
With the single-stat game format, users will pick Over or Under for a player’s performance in a single stat. Users can string picks together across different games and sports.
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
Over 2.5 Receptions
With JuJu Smith-Schuster out for the season with a shoulder injury, rookie tight end Pat Freiermuth will likely see an expanded role for the Pittsburgh Steelers. JuJu’s role was working short-to-intermediate routes and acting as a quick option for Ben Roethlisberger, which should now be Freiermuth’s role as the tight end.
Freiermuth will be counted on to step up in this week’s AFC North divisional matchup against the Cleveland Browns, who have a strong pass rush. Freiermuth hauled in seven receptions in his lone game without JuJu, so expect him to be busy on Sunday.
Mike White, QB, New York Jets
Over 4.5 Rushing Yards
Mike White will make his first career NFL start on Sunday while filling in for the injured Zach Wilson. When inexperienced quarterbacks such as White are under pressure, they tend to abandon their receivers downfield and try to make a play with their legs.
Look for White to do the same at least once against a rugged Cincinnati Bengals defense, hitting the Over on this low rushing prop. We also shouldn’t need to worry about him losing rushing yards via kneeling out the clock in a game that the New York Jets are expected to lose by double-digits according to our NFL gameday odds.
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs
Over 21.5 Rushing Yards
Kansas City’s offensive line and defense have struggled this year, putting extra pressure on Mahomes to extend plays and pick up yards with his legs rather than throwing the ball away. This has led to some bad mistakes (nine interceptions) along with an uptick in rushing, as he’s averaging a career-best 31.3 rushing yards per game.
Mahomes has rushed for at least 26 yards in five straight games and should make it six this week against a vulnerable New York Giants defense on Monday Night Football.

NFL DFS Week 8: Fantasy Score Game
The Fantasy Score Game format follows the same concept as the Single-Stat Game. However, instead of picking a player’s performance in a stat category, users will pick Over or Under a player’s fantasy point total. For NFL DFS, PrizePicks follows a PPR scoring format.
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Under 16.0 Fantasy Points
CeeDee Lamb has stepped up as one of the Dallas Cowboys’ top two receivers alongside Amari Cooper following Michael Gallup‘s injury. Dak Prescott is dealing with a calf strain, however, and might be forced to miss Sunday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings.
If Prescott sits, his receivers will likely struggle to produce with Cooper Rush under center. 16.0 points is still a lot even if Prescott plays, so the Under is the safe play here if he’s unable to suit up.
Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia Eagles
Over 10.5 Fantasy Points
Following Zach Ertz‘s trade to the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Goedert is the Philadelphia Eagles’ primary tight end as well as one of its top pass-catchers. In his first game without Ertz last week, he turned five targets into three catches and 70 receiving yards.
This week, Goedert gets a tasty matchup against the Detroit Lions and their terrible defense. He should see enough volume from Jalen Hurts to hit the Over here, even if he doesn’t score a touchdown.
A.J. Brown, WR, Tennessee Titans
Over 14.5 Fantasy Points
The way to beat the Indianapolis Colts is to attack their cornerbacks, especially with Darius Leonard and DeForest Buckner roaming the center of the field. Accordingly, we should expect the Tennessee Titans to pass a bit more to the outside in this game.
With Julio Jones (hamstring) ruled out, this is shaping up to be another big game for A.J. Brown. He’s topped 90 receiving yards in each of his last two games while receiving nine targets both times, so expect Ryan Tannehill to keep looking his way, especially on play-action passes facilitated by Derrick Henry.
