This week’s matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings should be one of the best of Week 3.
The Seahawks are coming off of an overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, which was an absolute heartbreaker for them. After going into the second half up 24-9, they wound up losing 33-30. Chris Carson rushed for two touchdowns, and Tyler Lockett had a monster game (8 rec, 178 yards, 1 TD), but they still fell short.
Sitting at 1-1 after a decisive victory over the Colts in Week 1, the Seahawks will look to get back on track against the Vikings.
The Vikings have lost two heartbreakers of their own already this season. After losing in overtime in Week 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals by a score of 27-24, they went on to lose to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 by a score of 34-33.
The Vikings played well in both games, with the offense humming at times. Their receiving corps, in addition to Dalvin Cook, has been as advertised, but the defense is questionable. We shall see how it plays out against a solid offensive force like the Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction
This game should be an excellent one from a watchable perspective. I fully expect this game to remain tight, but ultimately with the Seattle Seahawks emerging victorious.
Russell Wilson should have his way with the Vikings’ defense this week, and his receivers have been on point through Week 2. Kirk Cousins and the top-notch receiving duo of Justin Jefferson and Adam Theilen will have something to say about it, though.
Something to monitor as the week progresses is the injury report on Vikings star running back Dalvin Cook. Cook left Minnesota’s Week 2 game on two separate occasions and is obviously a focal point of their offensive attack. If Cook is unable to go on Sunday, Alexander Mattison will likely take over with lead back duties this week.
All in all, I don’t foresee anything close to a blowout in this one. However, I believe Seattle takes this one by a touchdown or a tad more with a possible Dalvin Cook absence in line.
Prediction: Seahawks 37, Vikings 27
Seattle Seahawks vs. Minnesota Vikings Best Bets
Best Bet: Seahawks Moneyline (-130) at DraftKings
I really like the value on the moneyline for the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 versus Minnesota. Given that my prediction was for the Seahawks to take this game by over a touchdown, the odds on the moneyline are excellent and represent one of my best bets in this game.
If Dalvin Cook is going to be impacted in any way, these odds will only get worse, so it is advisable to take this bet now.
Russell Wilson is one of the smartest quarterbacks in the NFL and is capable of picking apart this Vikings defense. Take the Seahawks -130 all the way here.
Best Bet: Seahawks -3 (+115) at DraftKings
In this game, I really like the alternate line offered at DraftKings. The current spread on the game is Seattle -2, but by surrendering one point, you can get a +115 line instead of a standard -110.
-3 would be the highest alternate line I would advise taking here, and if you feel more comfortable with the current line set at Seattle -2, that’s just fine. The Seahawks are favored here for a reason, and the hope is that one point will not comprise the difference in this game.
Seahawks -3 is my suggested play ATS and the plus-odds attached to this bet makes it all the more enticing.
Best Bet: Over 55.5 (-110) at BetMGM
BetMGM currently has the best line out for the over at this juncture. Both of these teams have proven to be capable of scoring in bunches, and neither of these defenses are powerhouses.
55.5 is simply too low of a number, in my opinion, and my final score prediction above of 64 combined points reflects that.
Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins could have their way with each other’s defenses for a full 60 minutes, and with both defenses coming off games allowing 30+ points, it’s not hard to envision it.
Seahawks vs. Vikings Same Game Parlay Pick
Same Game Parlay Odds: +450 at DraftKings
- Seahawks Moneyline
- Over 55.5 Total Points
- Seahawks -2.5 1st Half
This parlay includes my two suggested plays on the Seahawks moneyline and the over, but also with the addition of an alternate first-half line on the Seahawks spread.
I strongly believe the Seahawks will come out strong early and will lead by a field goal, at minimum, after 30 minutes of play. This same-game parlay wound up with +450 odds, which is quite good all things considered.
