WWE Royal Rumble Predictions 2024

The pro wrestling community might agree that the Royal Rumble has reached a similar – if not better – level of excitement than WrestleMania.

This year’s premium live event might stand as one of the more exciting build-ups in many years– notably for the Men’s 30-man over-the-top extravaganza, which boasts several possible, star-level winners.

With this in mind, I’ll dive into picks for the 2024 Royal Rumble event, including who will win the men’s and women’s Rumbles.

WWE Royal Rumble Match Predictions

Men’s Royal Rumble Pick

  • WINNER: CM Punk
  • RUNNERS-UP: Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes

In the first televised match of his “hell froze over” comeback to WWE after nearly a decade away, Punk will play the opportunistic heel and lock in a date with shoot-injured Seth Rollins (knee) by winning his first Rumble.

I’m also expecting that, if he is indeed destined to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship and Finish The Story ™ , Cody Rhodes will lock in that spot by winning an eventual No. 1 contender’s match inside Elimination Chamber.

(Of course, I’m ok with Reigns beating The Rock this year and delaying Cody’s final chapter until WrestleMania 41. Hint: Hold WM41 in Atlanta and have Cody win in his home state.)

BOLD PREDICTION WINNER: GUNTHER

What a tease on Raw, when GUNTHER hinted at choosing Rollins if he were to win the Rumble. The Intercontinental Champion could become a monster double champ if WWE is positioning Reigns to lose at ‘Mania.

Confirmed Men’s Royal Rumble Entrants

  • Cody Rhodes
  • CM Punk
  • GUNTHER
  • Drew McIntyre
  • Shinsuke Nakamura
  • Chad Gable
  • Otis
  • Bobby Lashley

Possible Surprise Men’s Rumble Entrants

  • Brock Lesnar
  • Big E
  • Andrade “Cien” Almas
  • Ilja Dragunov (NXT Champion)
  • Bron Breakker
  • X-Pac
  • Tye Dillinger
  • Zack Ryder
  • SmackDown GM Nick Aldis
  • Wade Barrett
  • The Rock
  • Hulk Hogan (please, no)

Women’s Royal Rumble Pick

  • WINNER: Becky Lynch
  • RUNNERS-UP: Bayley & Sasha Banks

As any solid Rumble ending should do, this sets up both prongs of the women’s title picture.

We’ll celebrate Becky Two Rumbles: The Man will notch her second Rumble victory to earn a WrestleMania showdown with Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

Meanwhile, three of the Four Horsewomen collide after Banks’ jaw-dropping return. Bayley eliminates her real-life bestie, but Lynch throws the former hugger out to end it.

BOLD PREDICTION WINNER: Jade Cargill

WWE could strap a rocket ship to the high-upside performer. Cargill could enter at No. 30, throw out a few opponents, and pave her way to a matchup with an established star. (Maybe Lynch instead wins Iyo Sky‘s WWE Women’s Championship and drops it to Cargill at ‘Mania.)

With Charlotte Flair (knee) out for most of this year, WWE would do well to build at least a few more rising stars. Cargill’s emergence could happen ahead of schedule.

Confirmed Women’s Royal Rumble Entrants

  • Becky Lynch
  • Bayley
  • Nia Jax
  • Bianca Belair
  • Maxxine Dupri

Possible Surprise Women’s Rumble Entrants

  • Sasha Banks
  • Naomi
  • Jade Cargill
  • Liv Morgan
  • Carmella
  • Tiffany Stratton
  • Nikkita Lyons
  • Lyra Valkyria (NXT Women’s Champion)
  • Mickie James
  • Giulia
  • Jordynne Grace
  • Alexa Bliss
  • Michelle McCool
  • Maryse
  • A.J. Lee

Roman Reigns © defeats Randy Orton, L.A. Knight, & A.J. Styles (WWE Universal Championship)

Reigns will not be dropping the belt before WrestleMania – and even doing so in Philadelphia remains uncertain at this point. (Surpassing Hulk Hogan’s 1,474-day stint as champ would be ideal for the company.)

Experienced veterans Orton, Knight, and Styles will certainly help put on a crisp match, but, as usual, we can expect shenanigans with The Bloodline running in to help.

Logan Paul © defeats Kevin Owens (United States Championship)

Paul just won the US belt in November at Crown Jewel, so taking it off him at this point will not help him or the championship itself. A loss will not hurt Owens, either.

I’m expecting Knight, Chad Gable, or another superstar ready for a push to capture the strap from Paul at WrestleMania.
