EDITOR'S OPINION
Sports Illustrated has been a legend in the sports journalism industry since its first issue way back in late 1954. The transition to sports betting was made possible through a partnership with another legendary brand in their own industry, Euro-based 888 gaming. The SI sportsbook has a retro feel with modern functionality which makes it a top choice among our bettors, and the simple welcome offer helped draw me in.

SI Sportsbook Hands-on Review
Known primarily for being one of the most influential sports magazines of the last 50+ years, Sports Illustrated has now ventured into the online sportsbook space.
Launching in September 2021, Sports Illustrated Sportsbook is currently only available in Virginia and Michigan. It has plans to expand throughout the country as more states get on board with online sports betting.
SI has partnered with 888sport, a British-based online sportsbook that also briefly operated in New Jersey, to offer sports betting in the United States.
Over the years, 888 has made strides to join the United States iGaming landscape, and with the Sports Illustrated partnership, should help grow both brands as they try to expand into other states.
SI already offers a brick-and-mortar sportsbook, the Grande Casino, located in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Virginia became SI’s second legal location when it went live there in April 2022. They then launched in Michigan.
There are reports swirling that the sportsbook will launch in Iowa and Indiana in the near future, and possibly New Jersey down the road as well.
Is Sports Illustrated Sportsbook Legit?
Yes, absolutely. The sportsbook may only be in two states, but again, the SI brand — one of the leaders in sports media for almost 70 years — would not lend itself to something that wasn’t legitimate.
In order to offer real money online sports betting, SI sportsbook must pass rigorous testing run by the state to test game fairness, integrity, and of course all the banking options in order to keep your money safe and secure.
Can You Win Real Money Playing at Sports Illustrated Sportsbook?
Yes, Sports Illustrated Sportsbook is a real money online sportsbook. You can win and lose real money if you are playing in a state in which it is legal. All deposit and withdrawal methods are thoroughly tested for safety and security.
Most banking options are methods that you use every day to shop online, buy your groceries or pay for dinner at a restaurant. You can transfer funds from your bank account via ACH, use your favorite credit or debit card and pay with cash at participating retailers.
SI Sportsbook Signup Bonus
Sports Illustrated Sportsbook offers has a few offers for new signups, including free bet credits. Here’s a look at some of SI’s best offers at the moment.
Free Bets
New sign-ups for SI Sportsbook will get a special bet $20, get $200 promo when they sign-up using code GAMEDAY200.
Bettors in Virginia and Michigan can , create an account, and make their first deposit using promo code GAMEDAY200.
To qualify for the bet $20, get $200 promotion, the qualifying wager is a $20+ bet with odds of (+120) or longer as your first bet, and if that first bet wins you’ll receive $2oo in eight (8) $25 free bets.
Second-Chance Bet
A second-chance bet is a wager that is reimbursed in site credit if it isn’t successful. Risk-free bets are among the most popular new-signup bonuses because they enable users a chance to play with the online sportsbook without losing all of their money up front.
SI Sportsbook is not offering any second-chance bets at this time, but it could be a potential new-user bonus in the future.
Sports Illustrated Sportsbook No-Deposit Bonus
With a no-deposit bonus, this typically means receiving funds without needing to do anything beyond creating an account. However, the offers currently available at Sports Illustrated Sportsbook are centered around making deposits and bets.
Deposit Bonus
A deposit bonus or match is one of the best offers that online sportsbooks provide. A deposit bonus or match is when a sportsbook will give bettors who deposit a 100% match up to a certain threshold.
Deposit bonuses give players twice as much playable funds without needing to break the bank, and most online sportsbooks only have 1x playthrough, which means bettors need only bet with bonus funds once before they can withdraw money.
Currently, Sports Illustrated Sportsbook does not offer a deposit bonus signup offer, but again it could in the future.
SI Sportsbook Promotions
In addition to the signup offers, Sports illustrated also offers other promotions which are available to already existing players. Let’s run through them.
Monitor our betting promotions page to find out the latest offers.
Perfect 10
The Perfect 10 game is totally free to play and no wager is required. The object of the game is to get all 10 picks correctly. If you do, you will get a share of the $10,000 prize pool. If you’re the only one to get all 10 picks correct, you will win the full $10,000.
However, even if you lose, you will get a $1 free bet for each correct answer. There is a caveat, however: After your first two tries at the game, you will be required to make a weekly wager of $25 or more at odds of -110 or greater in order to receive these $1 free bets.
Three & Win
If you’re a fan of parlays, be sure to make them between Friday and Sunday.
Between these days, if you win a parlay of three legs or more, you will win $20 in free bets. The 3+ leg parlay you create must have a $25 stake or higher.
My Sports Illustrated Sportsbook App Experience
Sports Illustrated Sportsbook does have a mobile app, and it is available for both Android and iOS users. The app can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store for Android devices and the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
The app is streamlined and easy to navigate. If you started playing on desktop, you’ll be happy to find that the mobile app is very similar to SI’s desktop platform, but even more enjoyable and convenient to use.
Starting at the top of the app, you will find the login and registration buttons in the upper right-hand corner. Looking at the upper left-hand side, you will find a collapsible drop-down menu. This provides links to the sports offered, the Perfect 10 contest, Promotions, and contests that are actively in progress for Live Betting.
Below this, you will find an ad carousel, which shows upcoming games that are highlighted by the sportsbook and other promotional offers. Just below that is a horizontal menu with which sports are offered with a logo referencing the league.
Continuing down the page you will find the featured games, popular events, odds boosted events, and each sport with the games offered. For each of these categories, there is a “See All” link in which a new page will open that only shows the markets for your chosen category.
Finally, along the bottom, you’ll find links to the home page, Live Betting, the Promotions page, and Betfeed. Betfeed. which shows bets made in real-time, is a unique page that you won’t find on many other sportsbooks.
Overall the mobile app is spectacular. There is no lag or buffering. The only thing you may run into is needing to wait for the page to load if you scroll down to different sections quickly.
Should You Bet at Sports Illustrated Sportsbook?
Absolutely! The promotions offered at Sports Illustrated Sportsbook are competitive, and even though it would be great for there to be more promotions for existing players, it’s clear that Sports Illustrated Sportsbook is doing all it can to bring in even more customers.
If you’ve never played at Sports Illustrated Sportsbook there is an incredible set of offers for you to sort through. The mobile app is also easy to use and convenient.
Beyond the app and promotions, Sports Illustrated Sportsbook also offers boosted odds, and also shows the top bets for each sport, which could help guide you through uncertainty.

SI Sportsbook Odds
SI Sportsbook offers competitive pricing compared to the rest of the market. You’ll find a fair share of player props to keep you satisfied. You also won’t have to worry about paying for inflated moneylines,
Be sure to target point spread underdogs on this platform, as those are where you can find a major edge. We’ll discuss that more in the section below.
Best SI Sportsbook Betting Odds
When scanning the markets at SI Sportsbook, one thing that sticks out is that you their favorable numbers on point spread underdogs, particularly in the NFL.
For example, you’re able to get the New York Jets at +12.5 against the Buffalo Bills despite the fact that other sportsbooks offer them at +10 or +11. That extra 1 to 1.5 points can make the difference between a win and a loss.
This also means that you want to steer clear of SI Sportsbook if you’re looking at betting a favorite. For example, the Dallas Cowboys are -18.5 against the Houston Texans here. On other sites, you can get them at -17.5 or -17.

Does Sports Illustrated Sportsbook Have An Online Casino?
A lot of online sportsbooks will have an online casino attached with a shared balance. Playing a few hands of blackjack at halftime has never been easier from the comfort of your couch.
For now, with SI Sportsbook only being live in Michigan, and Virginia, there is no attached online casino, but may be added in the future when SI Sportsbook goes live in states where online casinos are legal.
