The Edmonton Oilers are on the verge of their first Western Conference berth since 2006.
If you’ve been an Oilers’ prop bettor, you’ve undoubtedly been cashing in, as well. Particularly so with player props on superstars like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who have multi-point games in each of the first four in this series.
Here’s a look at our preferred props for Game 5.
All NHL playoff odds are current as of Wednesday, May 25, at 11 a.m. ET.
Flames vs Oilers Game 5 Props
Race to 4 Goals: Oilers (+225) at Caesars
WAGER: 1 Unit
The winning team has scored at least four goals in every game in this series. Given the fact the Oilers have won the race to four in each of the past three games, and with the opportunity to more than triple your money in a stake plus profit bet, this prop is far too good to pass on.

Both Teams to Score 3-or-More Goals in Full Time (+150) at BetMGM
WAGER: 1 Unit
This prop has hit in three of the first four games, and given the struggles of Flames goalie Jacob Markstrom (.850 save percentage in the series) and Oilers goalie Mike Smith’s difficulty playing in Calgary (.868 in three games there this season) this seems like a can’t-lose prop.

PREVIOUSLY: Oilers vs. Flames Prop Bets
If you’ve been betting props in the Battle of Alberta, you’ve been cashing in.
The winning side has scored at least four goals in each of the first three games, and stars like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have had at least two points in every game so far.

Flames vs Oilers Game 4 Props
Race to 4 Goals: Flames (+185) at Caesars
WAGER: 1 Unit
As stated above, the winning team has had at least four goals in every game in this series, and we expect that trend to continue. Because we hope this series goes seven games, we’re also hoping that the Flames rebound and win Game 4. If Calgary is going to win it’s going to need to score at least four and will probably need to be the first to do so.
Both Teams to Score 3-or-More Goals in Full Time (+130) at BetMGM
WAGER: 1 Unit
This prop would’ve hit in each of the first two games in Calgary and probably should’ve hit in Game 3 if not for Mike Smith‘s slew of great saves in the third period. The winning team will probably score four-plus. The Oilers are definitely going to get to three the way their stars are playing. This seems like a good result-proof prop to target.

PREVIOUSLY: Flames vs Oilers Game 2 Props
The first postseason meeting between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers delivered goals, fireworks and a raucous, 1980s-style atmosphere that was wildly entertaining.
It was also perfect for prop bettors, especially those who took the Overs among player props.
Here’s a look at some more props to target for Game 2 of this Western Conference second-round series on Friday night.

Flames vs Oilers Game 2 Props
Race to 3 Goals: Oilers (+165)
WAGER: 1 Unit
I spelled out Calgary’s troubles with Game 2s in our Flames vs Oilers Game 2 Prediction, and if you believe, as I do, that this series will be long, expect the Oilers to even the series.
If Edmonton is going to win Game 2, you’d have to think it’ll be the first team to score three goals on Friday.
Oilers Team Total: OVER 2.5 Goals (-140)
WAGER: 2 Units
The odds on this aren’t great, but this bet is completely result-proof.
So if you think Calgary will go up 2-0 but believe Edmonton has what it takes to score some goals again, this is a nice hedge.
Flames vs Oilers Game 2 Player Props
Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points (-135) at BetMGM Sportsbook
Wager: 1 Unit
McDavid apparently heard the whispers from Toronto that he was no longer the best hockey player on Earth and is going about showcasing his incredible skill and scoring prowess when it matters most. After his four-point game in Game 1, McDavid is up to 18 points in eight games, an eye-popping 2.25 per game, in the postseason.
Calgary will likely have to win this series in spite of McDavid’s point output. He’s just too good right now.
Leon Draisaitl Over 1.5 Points (+170) at BetMGM
Wager: 1 Unit
The odds on a Draisaitl multi-point game are much better than McDavid’s, and Draisaitl is just as likely as McDavid to put up two-or-more points.
Draisaitl recorded three points in Edmonton’s Game 1 loss and has 12 points in eight games so far this postseason. He’s also had multi-point games these playoffs, albeit while dealing with some undisclosed injury.
PREVIOUSLY: Flames vs Oilers Game 1 Props
The first playoff version of the Battle of Alberta should be super fun and loaded with offense and physical play, which makes it a perfect pick for prop betting.
Here’s a look at some props to target for Game 1 in Calgary on Wednesday.

Flames vs Oilers Game 1 Props
Race to 4 Goals: Flames (+150)
WAGER: 1 Unit
Calgary hasn’t scored four goals on home ice thus far in the playoffs but not for a lack of trying.
The Flames peppered 154 shots at Jake Oettinger during their four home games (38.5 per game) in their first-round series against the Dallas Stars, including 67 in Game 7.
Edmonton goalie Mike Smith, frankly, is not Oettinger. Expect the Flames to score some goals and be the first to four in Game 1.
3-Way Result: Flames (+105) at BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
The Flames should take care of business in Game 1 and not need overtime to do so. There will be plenty of time for OT in this series, but probably not in the first game.
Flames vs Oilers Game 1 Player Props
Matthew Tkachuk Anytime Goalscorer (+170) at Caesars
WAGER: 1 Unit
Matthew Tkachuk is officially on fire after scoring his first goal of the playoffs in Game 7 against Dallas.
Tkachuk had three goals and eight points in four games against the Oilers during the regular season, and we expect a fully engaged forward to wreak havoc on the Oilers and set a tone for the series.
Connor McDavid Under 1.5 Points (-105)
WAGER: 1 Unit
Connor McDavid is going to score in the series. He’s averaging two points per game in the playoffs and probably will have at least one point against Calgary in Game 1.
But if you, like me, feel the Flames are going to take control of the series from the get-go, you have to believe Edmonton’s superstar center will be held Under two points.
