We’ve got our second game in London this year, this time between the Chicago Bears (3-2) and Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4).
Chicago is coming off a blowout win over the Panthers, while Jacksonville finally got their first victory of the season against the Colts.
So without further ado, let’s get right into my Bears vs Jaguars predictions and best bets for Week 6.
Bears vs Jaguars Odds
NFL odds are current as of Friday, Oct. 11, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
- Moneyline: Bears (-122) vs Jaguars (+102)
- Spread: Bears -1.5 (-108) vs Jaguars +1.5 (-112)
- Over/Under: Over 44.5 (-108) / Under 44.5 (-112)
Bears vs Jaguars Prediction
Jaguars 24, Bears 21
Trevor Lawrence came alive in the win over the Colts, completing 28-of-34 passes for 371 yards and two touchdowns.
The Jaguars will get back tight end Evan Engram for this week, giving Lawrence one of his most dependable targets.
We also can’t underestimate how the Jaguars have a lot of experience playing overseas — this will be their 11th time playing in London.
In other words, you can argue that this is a defacto home game for Jacksonville.
We saw this play a major role last season, when the Jags went 2-0 in London, including a statement win over a playoff team in the Bills.
Look for the Jags to get it done against the Bears here.
Sportsbook Play of the Day
Bears vs Jaguars Best Bets
Jaguars +1.5 (-112)
I like getting points with the more experienced team that consistently plays in London every year.
While you have to love what Caleb Williams did last week, it was still against the lowly Panthers.
The rookie quarterback should have some success against a Jaguars defense that ranks 32nd in Pass EPA, but I’m betting that Trevor Lawrence will outduel him thanks to help from Evan Engram, who is playing his first game since Week 1.
The Jags also get a boost from the return of top cornerback Tyson Campbell, who has also been out for four games.
Go with the Jaguars as one of my best NFL bets today.
Rome Odunze: Over 38.5 Receiving Yards (-120)
Rome Odunze was on a Bears podcast this week — the Tyler Scott show, hosted by a current Bears player along with popular NFL host Adam Rank. On the show, Odunze stated how he wanted to start putting up numbers like fellow rookie wideouts Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers.
This is a deep threat with a 15.3 average depth of target, which means that he’s consistently getting looks downfield.
We’ve seen Odunze put up 112 yards against the Colts earlier this season.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see another spike week, this time against a Jaguars defense allowing the most yards to wide receivers this season.
