Rams 2021 Win Total Bet: Schedule, Changes & Outlook
Over the past four seasons, the Los Angeles Rams have solidified themselves as a consistent playoff contender in the NFL. And since the start of the 2017 regular season, they’ve gone 43-21, making the playoffs in 3 out of 4 years. Last season, the Rams went 10-6, earning themselves a wild card spot. This year, they will face eight playoff teams, as they continue to battle in a really tough NFC West division.
Now, they’ve spiced things up a bit on offense. Instead of trying to get over the hump for a fifth season with head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Jared Goff, the Rams went out and dealt Goff this offseason, along with two first-round picks and a third-rounder, in exchange for longtime Detroit Lions signal-caller Matthew Stafford.
Stafford, who did not necessarily get a fair shake in Detroit given the various head coaching changes and lack of personnel around him, still wound-up finishing as the Lions’ all-time leading passer with 45,109 yards and 282 touchdowns.
The 13-year veteran now joins a talented offense, which features standout playmakers such as Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and Tyler Higbee. He also has been gifted a running game behind the duo of Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson.
As for the defense, they had the No. 1 unit in the NFL last season under defensive coordinator Brandon Staley. Despite losing Staley to the Los Angeles Chargers, former NFL head coach and longtime defensive assistant Raheem Morris will now take over the Rams’ defense.
Like Stafford on offense, Morris will get to command a widely talented group that has reigning three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald, who is also a six-time first-team All-Pro. They also have All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who continues to build his case as the best cornerback in the league.
Rams 2021 Win Total Bet
Over 10.5 wins (+115)
The Rams have won at least nine regular-season games for four consecutive years four years in a row. If Stafford can adapt to McVay’s system, the Rams will win a lot of games given their strong supporting cast around him.
And on defense, as long as this unit adjusts well to Morris’ system, they are talented enough to once again have one of the top defenses in the NFL.
