The NFL season is approaching quickly, which makes now the perfect time to begin betting on the upcoming campaign. The Pittsburgh Steelers are one team that’s worth taking a gamble on as they head in a new direction.

For the first time since 2004, Ben Roethlisberger will not be on the roster. Instead, the keys to the offense have temporarily been given to Mitch Trubisky, with first-round pick Kenny Pickett in position to take over.

The Steelers also have plenty of young, up-and-coming players on the roster, with Najee Harris chief among them. It’s hard to say what this team’s ceiling is, but this should still be a fun group to watch.

With that said, let’s take a look at some different sportsbooks and evaluate the best Pittsburgh Steelers sports betting promo codes to take advantage of.

Steelers OVER 7.5 Wins (+105)

The Steelers are nothing if not consistent. Pittsburgh hasn’t posted a losing season since 2003. That’s not to say there haven’t been a few close calls, but it says a lot about this franchise’s culture and coaching that they’re almost always in playoff contention.

The belief is that Pittsburgh will finally record a losing season this year, but considering what we’re working with here, I’ll believe it when I see it. The Steelers still have arguably the best defense in the NFL, and if Trubisky and/or Pickett can put forth even average quarterback play, Pittsburgh should be able to rack up at least eight wins.

At (+105) odds, I really like the value here. The expectations for this squad are low, but I would be cautious about underestimating them.

Kenny Pickett: AP Offensive Rookie of the Year (+500)

Pickett is the odds-on favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year this season, which doesn’t come as a huge surprise. He was the first quarterback taken in this year’s NFL Draft, and this is generally a quarterback’s award.

With that said, there is some risk here. We don’t know when (or if) Pickett will make his first start this year, and the Pitt product will likely need some time to adjust to the big leagues. But the Steelers appear to have a lot of faith in the rookie signal-caller, and fans are eager to see him take the field.

If the opportunity is there for Pickett, he’ll certainly be in play to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. It’ll just come down to whether or not he gets the reps.

T.J. Watt: Regular Season Sack Leader (+500)

Superstar pass-rusher T.J. Watt led the NFL with 22.5 sacks in 2021, beating second-place finisher Robert Quinn by four. What’s more, Watt appeared in just 15 games, and he exited early from a few others due to injury. It’s no surprise that he’s considered the favorite to repeat in 2022, but at (+500) odds, this feels like a steal.

Watt is an absurd talent. After winning his first Defensive Player of the Year award in 2021, he only looks to be getting better. 22.5 sacks is a high bar for him to clear this coming season, but it’s perfectly reasonable to assume that he’ll be the league leader for much of the year.

Steelers Make the Playoffs (+330)

This is another risky one. The Steelers barely squeaked into the postseason in 2021, and the AFC has undoubtedly improved this year. The (+330) odds on this squad seem right. It’s going to take a lot for them to vault into the playoffs with teams like the Dolphins, Ravens, Colts, and Broncos improving this offseason.

However, this is the Steelers we’re talking about. Their fans demand the best, and the coaching staff, led by Mike Tomlin, helps to uphold a winning standard. Anything less would be a disappointment, even if the expectation is that the Steelers miss the postseason in 2022.

If Pickett (or Trubisky) looks the part of a solid starting quarterback and the defense can stay healthy, Pittsburgh could be a sneaky choice to earn a Wild Card spot. This is worth a sprinkle.
