The Philadelphia Eagles will fly south to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Wild Card Round of the 2022 NFL Playoffs.
Philadelphia (9-8) enters the postseason as the No. 7 seed after finishing the regular season with wins in four of their last five games. The lone loss came against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18 when the Eagles rested some starters, including quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Despite their solid run and momentum heading into the playoffs, this matchup against the Buccaneers is one of the biggest worst-case scenarios possible.
The Buccaneers (13-4) have been widely regarded as one of the best teams in the NFL since the preseason and they did not disappoint.
However, this team’s offense is going to have a bit of new look to it in the first round of the playoffs with Chris Godwin (torn ACL) and Antonio Brown (released) no longer a part of the receiving corps.
However, Tom Brady has always been able to make do with limited weaponry and considering this is the playoffs, I don’t have any doubt that he will succeed yet again.

Eagles vs Buccaneers Prop Bets: NFL Wild Card Prop Betting Picks
Tom Brady: Over 275.5 Passing Yards (-115) at BetRivers
Wager: 2 Units
Back in Week 5, Tom Brady threw for 297 yards against this same Eagles defense and I’m backing him to hit the over on his passing yards in this one.
The Eagles’ defense grades out as one of the worst in the NFL according to Football Outsiders’ DVOA metric, ranking 25th in pass defense and 19th in run defense.
Even with a short-handed receiving corps, I have a feeling Tom Brady has a field day against the Eagles and should put together well over 300 passing yards, making this our NFL play of the day.

Leonard Fournette: Over 100.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-115) at BetRivers
Wager: 1 Unit
Despite not playing in almost a month, Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to be a full go in the first round of the playoffs.
I don’t believe Bucs head coach Bruce Arians will have Fournette on a limited snap count unless this game gets ugly, but I expect the Eagles’ defense to get a healthy dosage of Fournette in both the run game and passing game.

100 total yards is a tough number to hit, but I believe the line would be even higher if Fournette had not missed the last few games due to injury.

Jalen Hurts: Under 49.5 Rushing Yards (-114) at BetRivers
Wager: 1 Unit
Jalen Hurts has not eclipsed 50 rushing yards since Week 12, despite finishing the season with three games against the weak defenses of the Giants and Football Team.
He will now have to go heads-up with one of the premier run defenses in the league.
I’m not expecting Hurts to be a complete non-factor in this game, but I’m not expecting him to do his usual things on the field either.
Back the under on Hurts’ rushing yards, especially considering his lingering ankle injury.
