The Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face off in the AFC Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs. This game features tons of storylines as are typical with any game that involves Tom Brady.
The Eagles (9-8) narrowly made it into the playoffs after starting the season off as one of the teams on the outside looking in. However, they won four of their final five games in the regular season to earn their spot. Now they draw one of the toughest postseason teams in the NFL Playoffs; Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs (13-4) are one of the premier teams in the league with many evaluators considering them to be one of the most likely teams to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the conclusion of the playoffs. They are the reigning champions of the NFL and will look to repeat.
It all starts here for the Buccaneers as they look to defeat the Eagles as they did in Week 5. The main difference here is that Tampa Bay gets to play this game in front of their home crowd. While they narrowly secured a 28-22 victory back in October, there could be a very different outcome in this game.

Eagles +8.5 (-110) at BetMGM
The Eagles are one of the worst teams still standing in the NFL, but I like them to cover in this game. The Buccaneers can put together an offensive attack that the Eagles simply are not equipped to counter, but I think this could be a relatively low-scoring game.

As previously mentioned, I think this can wind up being a low-scoring affair and I’m backing the Under 49.5 in this matchup. Across their last five games, the Buccaneers are only allowing 16.8 points per game while the Eagles are only allowing 22.4 points.

While the Eagles have had the benefit of not playing too many high-profile teams recently, these numbers are still skewed by the Eagles allowing 51 points to the Cowboys in Week 18.
Expect both defenses to show up. While the Eagles ranked 25th in the NFL in DVOA during the regular season, the Buccaneers’ offense is still reeling from the losses of both Chris Godwin (torn ACL) and Antonio Brown (released). Expect a close one that comes in around a 24-21 final score.
